Date:1/13/10 Time:1855hrs Location: 257 Ontario St. Frequency:Albany City 800 Trunked System Units Operating: E 1,7,10,R 1,BC 7(IC)Car 3,multi APD units Weather Conditions: Cloudy/cold Description Of Incident:APD/AFD units responded to a call of 2 people w/GSWs. One patient w/GSW to the stomach, and another patient w/GSW to the arm & leg non - specific L or R. Both patients transported ALS to the hospital in 2 ambulances. APD is investigating and will ride in with both patients. Unknown details or if any suspects are outstanding at this time. Lines being stretched and put into operation in a unknown type constructed building. Primary searches delayed due to heavy volume of fire, building being laddered and ventilated at this tme. Frequency: AC Countywide 154.415,Albany City 800 Trunked System,Colonie Tone Alert 154.385 Units Operating: Delmar FD,Elsmere FD,Selkirk FD,Albany County HazMat Team:Albany FD,Watervliet Arsenal FD,West Albany FD,AC Car 1,AFD Car 1,3,Air Medivac,Bethlehem EMS,Delmar EMS,Colonie EMS,Bethlehem PD,ATF, Weather Conditions: Bitter cold/cloudy Description Of Incident:Delmar Fire ,EMS,PD responded to a reported explosion & fire. Serious bodily injuries were suffered by one patient who was pulled from burning structure and airlifted to Westchester Hospital. Unknown chemical fire w/smaller explosions. Albany County HazMat response requested and responded to the scene. Hot/Cold safety zones and an LZ for the helicopter were also undertaken. Exsposure protection w/LDH and master streams operating.
