  2. Congrats to the Dutchess County Haz-Mat team. You guys have a great leader in Steve Van Buren. Each and every one of you work very hard to attain this award. The officers and firefighters of the New Hamburg Fire District will have Steve conduct the annual refresher course again this year. Great job and be safe,Jack Perusse
  3. What is going on in Dutchess County. Wanting to eliminate Sheriff,s patrols as well other departments manpower status. Now they are eliminating the FID team that has the training and experience needed to make the correct evaluations to assist the Fire Depts in the county. Get away from the political bull and act in the proper way to support the taxpayers that voted you all in.
  5. New Hamburg Fire Dept for many years has had a cold water rescue team on stand by through Dutchess County 911 We have all the gear that is needed for surface and shallow water rescue. Many hours of training are put in to maintain good rescue technics. The Fire District also has a 25' aluminum fire rescue boat with two 200 h.p. engines that has been on the Hudson River since 2000 moored at Whites Marina in New Hamburg during the warm season.
