Are there any Brush units or Mini Attacks in southern Westchester? I am wondering because there is a lot of brush and dense forests where an engine would have a tough time getting close enough and still having a water source. That also brings up the discussion about tankers and water, but i will keep it on topic. I live in an area that has a lot of brush areas as well as heavily wooded areas and I always wondered what would happen if a fire ever started? Would the department have to wait for MA form a Northern Westchester Department or wait for the WCDPS Helicopter with the bambi Bucket? I am just wondering what would happen if there was a real fire and your thoughts. Thanks.

Parade is tonight at 7pm

It has started at 7pm for at least the last 2 or 3 years. Before that, it may have started at 6pm.

What i heared on Fox News was that there was a possible tornado in Fairfield County, Conn. Around the Bridgeport and Fairfield area. Damage was reported.

The ALF did not make it in Hells Kitchen. I heard there were problems with the rig so they requested another truck. They got a Seagrave and the ALF was sent to the FDNY Station on Govenors Island. As for the others, there are currently no Spartan apparatus in the FDNY fleet and the only E-Ones are Rescue 2,3,4 and 5. Please correct me I if am wrong.

You have to understand that it is a lot of work putting this together. To organize this, it must of took months. As far as the speed of geeting to the injured, they have a plan. The plan will differ depending on what type of accident it is. The ambulances were not being used in the beging to simulate their actual response times to the airport. For example, A Harriosn EMS unit will arrive before a Brewster unit will. They are just trying to make it as real as possible. I know that Purchase held a Meeting in their HQ on monday or tuesday night to discuss what went wrong, what went right and what they can improve on for next year.
