Other then some I-95 traffic... today is a perfect day to go. Thank you! I only saw 1 ambulance, 1 Medic Flycar and Playland EMTs. But according to others, there were 2 ambulances there. They staged at the enterence until the scene was deemed safe. I do not know if anyone was transported.

I actually was in the area when this happened. I went over to see what happened, to only be kicked out of the area by county police. I have to agree with you... rules are rules. By the way, units from as far sounth as NYC came. The response was huge. Does anyone know what a code "Blue" is... it was sent over the hotline. Date: 8/30/2011 Time: 1545hrs Location: 7 Winding Brook Drive (X Fenimore Rd) Frequency: 46.26, Fire 15, EMS 15, 155.750 (PD), 155.280 (EMS), Units Operating on Scene: [TMFD: 2231, 2232, 2233, E51, E36, L19], [VMFD: 2241, U9], [LFD: 2221, TL7, R1], [NRFD: E22 (FAST)], [LTMVAC: 66A1, 66B2], [HEMS: 61A4], [WCDES: Bat 15, C & O zone 2], TMPD, LPD Units Operating on Standby at TMFD HQ: [HFD: 2161, E10], [VMFD: TL20] Weather Conditions: Clear Description Of Incident: Working fire in a 1 story wood frame. Fire was believed to be started by a generator that set curtains on fire. Homeowner called 911 when she saw flames. TMFD was then dispatched for a reported structure fre. 2231 was first on scene and reported heavy fire from front beadroom. Fire was contained to 2 front rooms and took aprox 15-20 minutes. Date: 8/25/2011] Time: 1515hrs Location: 95 Broadway Frequency: 46.26, Fire 12, EMS 12, FG3 Units Operating: [OFD: 2332, 2337, E96, E99, R14, U51], [WCDES: Bat 12, Bat 11, 2007, R77, U77], [OVAC: 36M1, 36M2, 74A1, 74A2], [CVAC: 88-05], [CEMS: 55B1], OPD Units on Standby in OVAC HQ: [PVAC: 76B1] Weather Conditions: Rain and Wind Description Of Incident: See below... Writer: firedude According to media sources, 4 children were playng with a ball when it rolled down to the Kill Brook. The 4 children became trapped in a ravine as they ran to find their ball. One child's arm became pinned under a large rock after falling. Ossining PD was notified via 911 and dispatched OFD. Upon arrival, 2332 requested WCDES Technical Rescue Team for a High angle rescue. Cortland VAC requested to standby for OVAC. Stat Flight requested to stanby. Air 2 put on stanby with 20min ETA. LZ was Snowden Ave Park with GC as E99. Air 2 advised they were grounded due to weather. E99 to relocate to scene. CVAC unable to relocate. Briarcliff EMS requested to relocate. 2332 requested Cortland Rehab to scene. BMVAC unable to relocate,PVAC requested to relocate to OVAC HQ. PVAC relocating 76B1 to OVAC HQ. 2232 reports 3 total patients, out of ravine. Air 2 still declining due to weather. 2332 reports CVAC Rehab can go back in service. 74A1 and 74A2 tranported 3 patients ALS to WMC. I personally hvae collected many of these models, and will miss Code 3 greatly. However, I saw this coming, it was only a matter of time. I have to agree with the above comments, their quality took a big hit.

Today, on my approach to HPN, I saw a plume of smoke coming from northern westchester. I originally thought it was a brush fire but when I saw the IA for Pound Ridge, I knew that was it. This Photo was takken about 10 minutes after first dispatch. The actual fire was just on the other side of the rigde. At this point of my flight, I couldn't of gotten closer. Anyways, these are the photos I got...

Thanks guys! Yes and Yes. When Obama comes to NYC (like yesturday), the entire airspace is shut down, with only some exceptions. I needed to land before the airspae closed. Also, at this point in my flight, I was already given strict instructions on how to approach and land at the field. Maybe next time...
