Cancel my earlier post. Can't anyone drive in the snow? We just handled at least 25-30 accidents since 1130.

Come on, it's been such a wimpy winter. It's bout time we got a real snow storm. Besides, this is March and it will be back up in the 60's by next week and all the snow will be gone. Snow for St. Patty's Day! Who has the green food coloring?

Putnam County 911 Dispatcher 414, Bob Ridpath has been in the hospital since Feb 12th and is not expected to be released for the next 2-3 weeks. He went in the hospital for testing and contrated pancreatitus and several other medical conditions. Bob has been with Putnam 911 since we opened in January 2005 and is also a member of the Union Vale VFD in Dutchess County. Since Bob has only been with Putnam County for 2 years, he has already exceeded his sick time and has mounting medical bills. The Dispatchers at Putnam 911 along with the administrative staff of the Putnam County Bureau of Emergency Services are holding a fundraiser for Bob and his family to help with rising costs. The event will be held at McCarthy's Family Eatery, 374 Route 52 in Lake Carmel on Saturday March 10th starting at 7:00pm. A $25.00 donation will colected at the door and will include a buffet dinner, soda, and beer. If anyone has any questions or needs further information, please call the Putnam County 911 Dispatch Center at (845) 225-4860 and ask to speak to a supervisor. If anyone would like to make a donation, please send it to the Putnam County Bureau of Emergency Services, 112 Old Route 6 Carmel NY 10512. Attn: Sandy Kanuk. We thank all those that will attend and help Bob & his family

Somers at one time had 4 Seagraves if i remember correctly, E-181, 182, 183 & 184. I don't remember Somers ever having a vehicle with Lyme Disease. Maybe you saw a Yorktown rig relocated. They had it but have since been cured.

Bump!

A few notes/corrections if I may. Bold for Notes/Corrections

Arlington FD in Dutchess also put in a bid on the trucks. I read on the AFD web site (www.AFD.org) that they lost out to Westchester County.

The first one is a alternate frequency for the Coordinators to contact the 911 center. 155.280 is in our EMS stack along with 220, 205, and 340. We really don't use it for anything. I believe either GVAC or PVAC used to sue it for thier dispatch frequency before we switched them over to 205

[attachmentid=1858] It looks similar to Mt Horeb WI's Ambulance. I found this picture on firepics.net. Credit to the orginal photographer, Photobuff6162
