Will he be taking over the Fre Coordinators position that John held or will he have more OEM style duties? Why is John retiring?

I am listening on Teamspeak. It is designed as an online interactive gaming site but there are many live feeds also. Go to www.incidentbroadcast.com and download the Teamspeak program.

Local forums in the area have him driving to the FD drunk. He was also charged with DWI

After reading www.Signal99.com forums, it appears there is more to the story. The shooter had been appointed an Onondaga County Sheriff and had just completed the academy and was then discharged from the force.

Back in the 70's when they came Mutual Aid to Mahopac for a call, so many member showed up that someone said it was like ants swarming on an ant hill. The name stuck and they became the Ant Hill Mob

For a while back inthe 80's, we (Mahopac 18-5-1) were the 3rd or 4th due ladder on the preplan for Westchester Module Homes. We never got to take the ride.

Cold Spring's Ladder (Ex-Carmel 1964 Oren/Grove)has been removed from service with no plans for replacement. On the Western side of Putnam you have Peekskill ( 95' Tower) to the south and Rombout (100' Tower) and Fishkill (65' Stick) to the north. In Eastern Putnam you have 4 Towers (Carmel, Mahopac, Brewster & Pattterson). If a stick in needed we have Mohegan Ladder 10 (75') or Ladder 35 (110') to the south and Danbury to the east. If needed we could also get Dover (75' stick) from the north. I beleive Somers has plans for a 65-75' stick in the next few years also.

And it appears to be gone again

Perhaps another reason is that we are getting oversaturated with Chief Goldfeder seminars. In the past 12 months he has been in Rockland, Putnam, Westchester (Elmsford), Nassau and at the Firehouse conference. He is an excellent speaker but you can only hear the same thing so many times. Putnam County Chief's had him in Putnam Valley in May and had a low turnout because he had just been at the Elmsford Seminar in January.

While this is a great idea, it is another unfunded mandate by NYS

They might be working with the 'Comercial Police" being discussed in another thread

16-4-3 is a Mack/Quality. It was refurbed a few years ago. Here is a more recent photo. I can't remember who did the refurb, possibly RD Murray. Credit to the Original Photographer

They got the Tech Rescue from Soyossett (sp?) FD on Long Island. It already had the Black/Red Schene

I don't want to hijack Ardsley's thread but from what I understand, Mahopac got our TCO last night from the town board. There are work details all week to move in. We will be having our September Meeting there tonight. It's about time!

I saw the topic and thout it was happening in Dutchess County (D C) and got excited

Minors convictions are sealed so if he gets charged as a minor and convicted in Family Court, the conviction will not show when the arson background check is done. If he is tried as an adult and convicted in regular court, it will show up and he will be unable to join another fire department in New York State. If he is aquitted no record will show up when the check is done.

So that is why Dunkin Donuts is before the planning board to increase the size of thier parking lot.
