Nelsonville disbanded about 1999-2000. I do not know where the engine went. I will ask some friends from Cold Spring and see what I can find out.

According to a friend of mine in PLFD, they were having issues wth the tank corroding. Some type of micro organisims were eating into the tank. The new tanker has a poly wrapped tank and should not have the same problem.

From the incident alert 12:35] Be advised I'm on location with a fully involved structure (Beekman 21) Members giving updates need to paint an accurate picture of what they have. The term "Fully involved" is used too often and usually incorrectly. Working fire, yes, fully involved. no.

According to a member of Putnam Lake, Stiloski's (sp?) Twoing bought the truck and will remove the tank & pump an replace it with a heavy duty utility body., Oh yeah, they will also cure it of Lime Disease

ALS, I agree that we should give the families some time. I learned today one of the injured was a former member of Mahopac Falls VFD. I did the original dispatch for Cold Spring and then I called for the fleet. I have been writing down what I remember and would like to have a good critique soon. I will be asking fo rit through the Bureau. My thoughts & prayers are with the people and families involved.

I left work at 0030 when they(field units) told us (Putnam 911) the boat was found and it looked like everyone was ok. I guess it was a little premature. Were any dive team resources used in the rescue?

It looks like the poster took the picture so he probably saw the whole truck before the picture

Mohegan has a Car 226-10 (Lieutenant). I believe 60-Controls CAD accepts it.

Starts on a side road off Route 22 north of the village by the Trooper baracks, south on Route 22 past JHK Sta1 makes a left and winds around Wing Ave(?) to the carnival grounds

I doubt they could find enough shrink wrap in 1947 Cadillac Lotus Cream color to do the job.

I got this from the Lohud article on the Yonkers fire: http://www.lohud.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2008807140343 No my questions are: If it is a standard firefighting tactic that you back up the original line with one of equal or greater size, what size back up line does Yonkers use? What size tip is on the 5" line? You gotta love the Journal News

I am trying to get the official results and should post the list by Sunday. We thank everyone for coming. Mahopac does not "move" trophies. A lot of people do not agree but if you win it, you get it. It was a fantastic night. We had a crowd we haven't seen in years. The weather was excellent. The turnout was supurb. Thank you everyone for attending. The fair continues Saturday and next Thursday - Saturday. We will award the 2008 "Bullitt" Mustang next Saturday night at the end of the fair.

Ossining is on a major roll, Best Overall Mahopac Thursday Night in Putnam, Best Overall Mount Kisco Friday Night in Westchester, now they are going to Millbrook ( DCVFA Convention) Saturday in Dutchess. Can they pull off the triple combination? It hasn't been done in a few years.
