Do red four way flashers constitute rear flashing red lights? If so most vehicle would be breaking the law.

What is this website?

Looking at your post, it doesn't have one. That could be.

Same

I am not exactly sure but there is a picture and it says that it is on a call when the pumper is on a previous call. Maybe it is used as a second due engine.
-
Why isn't there the reputation button on all posts?
-
I believe that if all of the parties involved don't have a problem with it then there isn't really a problem. If people are complaining then it should be brought up with the police department and the VAC. To me I think it is a good way to help the community because an ambulance is getting out to help the taxpayers (and possibly saving a bill from a paid ambulance service).

We have 24/7 paid paramedic coverage through the district. On week days a local manufacturer lets its employees, usually 2-3 per day, run calls. For the night time there are duty crews. These crews are set and cover a certain night of the week. These crews also cover a 24 every fifth weekend day.

For us it is a combination of responding to the FH and to the scene in POV. Our district is about 70 miles and takes more than a half hour to drive from one end to the other. For this reason most people drive to the scene in their POV. However, there is a group of people who live 1-2 miles away from the FH and they respond right to the building and get the trucks. I believe that the way the you respond, either to the FH or scene, is based on a lot of different factors. As PVFDNY1262 said the time of day, day of the week, type of call, and the location of the call all should be part of where you respond to. Also taken into consideration should be where you live relative to the FH among others.

We just got one in one of our new trucks and even though we haven't had it long, it seems to work well. When you stand or sit in a vehicle near it you can really feel it.

Rest in Peace. My thoughts go out to FF Joyce's family, both at home and at YFD
