WWW.SLEEPYHOLLOWFD.ORG AS NOTED ON THE OFFICIAL FIRE DEPARTMENT WEBSITE NOTICE TO BIDDERS Sealed proposals for the following project: 1750GPM PUMPER FIRE APPARATUS VILLAGE OF SLEEPY HOLLOW NOTICE is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Office of the Village Clerk of the Village of Sleepy Hollow until 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 20, 2011, at Village Hall, 28 Beekman Avenue, Sleepy Hollow, NY 10591 at which time and place said sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for the purchase of a 1750GPM PUMPER FIRE APPARATUS. Any bid received after closing time will be returned unopened. Specifications are on file in the Office of the Village Clerk on and after Monday, November 21, 2011 during normal business hours. Specifications may be obtained from the Office of the Village Clerk, 28 Beekman Avenue, Sleepy Hollow, New York upon payment of a $50.00 non-refundable fee for each set. Check should be made payable to the Village of Sleepy Hollow. A Bid Bond, certified check or bank check made payable to the Village of Sleepy Hollow in the amount of 10% of the base bid must accompany the bid proposal. A Performance Bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price will be required. All bids must be submitted in duplicate in sealed envelopes plainly marked Bid for "1750GPM PUMPER FIRE APPARATUS". All bids must be accompanied by a non-collusive bidding certification executed pursuant to section 103-d of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York. In case of ambiguity or lack of clarity in stating prices in the Proposal, the Village reserves the right to accept the most advantageous construction thereof to the Village or to reject the Proposal. The Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and waive any or all informalities. I would like to thank all the members of the Sleepy Hollow Fire Department and all the Fire Agencies involved. Its nice to know i can count on my bothers for assistance. Engine 87 (Sleepy Hollow) is still in the process of developing specifications for a rescue engine. Depending on approval hopefully will go out to bid shortly.

FIRE-12 not working in the area of the is another major concern that should be addressed by DES. An additional transmit site should be put up in Rockland County to cover the community's along the Hudson River.

The Sleepy Hollow Fire Department is currently constructing a window simulator to conduct Bailout training on our RIT Bailout System at Headquarters on Beekman Ave. Just wanted to share some pictures and maybe ideas with other Departments. Construction should be completed by Monday and ready for use. Will upload final pictures then. Based on the window simulator at the FDNY Training Academy.

The day that picture was taken was the Funeral for fallen NYPD Officer Hidalgo from Sleepy Hollow. Some members from Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow were in Class A uniform.

Just looking through Capital Project budget for Westchester County and came across. Communications room and Equipment upgrade $3,700,000 for the Westchester County Department of Public Safety. Anyone have information?
