Again this does not refer to ambulances...... FAA Advisory Circular: http://www.faa.gov/documentLibrary/media/Advisory_Circular/150_5210_5d.pdf KKK-A-1822F: http://www.deltaveh.com/f.pdf

These radios are illegal to use to transmit IF they are not covered under Part 90 but some ARE covered under Part 90.... You realize that A LOT of people use portables as scanners and that A LOT of people have scanners..... In my honest opinion I'm not a big fan of these radios as you can find a good Motorola or Kenwood for a decent price, granted the Baofengs are FPP but still would get a more notable brand.

To get technical.... Ambulances are not considered vehicles routinely operating on the "Angle of Attack," therefore are not required by FAA to be "yellowish-green." Ambulances that operate on an airfield are merely required to be painted and designed in accordance with KKK-A-1822F. The most likely reason they paint it Yellowish-green is probably to keep uniformity through the company and to distinguish it as an Airport ambulance.

NYS Office of Fire Protection and Control (Part of DHSES) will be placing these Ford Police Interceptor Utilities into service across the state.
-
"Nothing showing" seems like a pretty universal size-up report and something that isn't really confused with anything. At least I have never heard any department in the area by me confuse that statement or do not know what it means.

I'm a big Harris fan.

Stillwater Police Department will be taking delivery of this 2014 Ford Police Interceptor Utility designated as 7G284. Notice the new Honeycomb design grille.
-
Caught their other new car 7G281.

IMHO if it is a Fire or EMS vehicle it should have a lightbar and clear graphics/lettering, none of this ghost stuff and none of this slicktop stuff. You are not police. Unless you are in Massachusetts and then unmarked fire chief vehicles are ok, haha.
-
Why does that EMS vehicle have ghost graphics? Seem very stupid to me.
-
They really want to be cops, haha. They also have a White Ford Escape with a RED lightbar.
-
Yes, they are NYS Peace Officers. I also believe they do EMS 1st Response on Campus, I don't remember since it's been a long while since I've been a student there.

Signal 30 Structure fire in the Village of Colonie. Multiple departments responded to a 2 story wood frame house fire that was fully involved upon arrival. All occupants were safely out of the house when the fire fully engulfed the home.
-
There were no powers lines under them in the last shot.

A nice shot of Fuller Road Truck 3 and the rare sighting of the Commissioner of DHSES.

NYS Department of Health Bureau of EMS will be taking delivery of 3 new Ford Police Interceptors. Also they have new style license plates instead of the usual State vehicle plate.

Tries to support himself by posting what we are saying. Haha.

To replace the department's aging fleet of Durangos I have noticed DEC taking delivery of many Interceptor Utilities during my travels down to the Motor Pool, there is also a few newer Ford F-150s and Chevy Tahoes as well. Here is the first one I have seen on the road, was taken at Region 4 HQ. I have also attached a photo of a Durango, Tahoe, and F-150

This has been floating around here for a LONG while. Long Beach has one too.

KAPL is an R & D facility dedicated to the advancements of Naval Propulsion. Training US Navy personal is only a small part in the mission of both facilities. The only difference in sites is the West Milton facility tests the prototypes as Niskayuna is where they are designed. Both facilities are part of the Department of Energy but operated and managed privately. Here is one of the Security vehicles that are ran there.
