What departments have Dive or Scuba teams? I know that Mount Pleasant Police have a Dive Team.

We too have more than one engine (3 first due and 1 second due). Our FAST equipment is on the rescue because it has the extra room. It also gives us something to check for house duty!

Awesome looking rig. How long is this truck? It appears to be very long! Anyone have the actual specs?
-
Great looking car. I really like how the traffic Advisor is mounted inside of the car! Not many dept's do this and I think more should. Is there going to be a cabinet system installed in the trunk???
-
Great looking rig. I like the layout of the cabinets...appears to have plenty of room. Best of luck with it!

Based on his the fact that he won the job...I'd have to say that the majority of the country support him. If not...he probably would not be president.

On 1-1-2010 at about 12:45 AM Pleasantville Ambulance was toned out for a call. On the initial page out the dispatcher said, "Pleasantville PD to the PVAC Duty Poop (quick correction to) Crew" This was simply hilarious. Good thing for repeaters...I can relive it for years to come.
-
I understand the panic and wanted to help/save your family members, however, people need to realize just how little time they are saving by "hauling a**" to scenes. I mean your talking seconds... Thoughts and prayers to the driver of the SUV and to the ambulance driver and his mother. May his father R.I.P.

Continue to get better. Ill see you when I am home from school. My thoughts and prayers out to his wife and two young children. Stay strong!

I have no idea how it works but...reputation has to play a role in it. I hear Mount Kisco FAST and Yorktown FAST get used a lot.

I once heard the DPW for my town singing "Oh Christmas Tree" over the DPW/PVAC Dispatch frequency. I have also been involved in a few calls where you pick up the PA to yell at someone outside the bus (ie: jackass who runs out in front of the bus) but by mistake pick up the county mic.

Nice looking rigs good luck with them. How many Paramedics does Beacon have? Are they volunteer too?
-
R.I.P. Never forget the fallen heroes.

Open up the Dual Talon and check the circuit board for obvious problems...loose wires. Also, may sound obvious but cycle through the patterns see if anything changes.

Nice shots. Im ASSuming this was defensive from the start?

Get well soon John. Since the moment my pager went off, you've been in my thoughts and prayers!

I arrived late with the Pleasantville Ambulance Rehab after fire was knocked down. Sorry for the poor quality, pictures were taken with my cell phone.

Colliers (sp?) mansion does not even describe it. The room next to the garage which you can not see into in the pictures was filled floor to ceiling with Star Wars collectibles.

I was supposed to take this FF2 course but I got sick!!! Glad you all had a good time. Stay safe!

Awesome looking rig. I like the stairs up to the top of the truck. Is this rescue also used for F.A.S.T.?

I am just curious to hear peoples opinions about responding to alarms. I am a member of Pleasantville FD and a mutual aid member of Potsdam FD. In Pleasantville, all gear is kept at the firehouse and when an alarm comes in we respond POV to the firehouse and man the rigs and respond to the scene on them. However, in Potsdam, all gear is kept with the member in his/her POV. When an alarm comes in, members who have been in the department for one year or longer respond directly to the scene. Members with less than a year in the department respond to the firehouse for their first year. Potsdam FD employs 4 paid drivers, one of which is at the firehouse at all times. When an alarm comes in the paid driver rolls out on one of their engines (E49). This engine arrives on scene and acts as an equipment truck as well as establishing command. I am just curious to hear what people think about the two different response types. Pro? Cons?

Nice looking shots.

Nice shots! What a shame to happen on Christmas Eve.
