Pleasantville operates with a rescue pumper...feel free to contact me for info or to set up a visit. There are several pumper tankers in Westchester, you could make a nice day trip checking out different rigs. I personally am a big fan of the concept of a rescue pumper, however, storage does become a big issue. We fit everything we need on the rig but some pieces of equipment are in tough spots. For example, our Res-Q-Jacks are up in the coffins on top of the truck. Requires two people to lift the double coffin and to pass down or lift up the jacks before and after use. I have had limited experience using pumper tankers (engine tankers in some places). I do know that some places use them as a first due apparatus or second due. It is nice to get the extra water on the road with a pump in places with limited water/man power. Best of luck, Madison

I know, I'm just messing around. I felt that the show just had no attention to detail. When a show is geared towards a group of people (first responders) and it portrays first responders, you need to show at least a little attention to detail. I don't think next week will be much different.

You obviously did not watch lol

We did this down the road in the dirty dam each year for Clarkson. Man do I miss riding up there... Stay safe brother, enjoy the action while you're up there.

My department only allows interior certified adult members to respond to mutual aid calls. No juniors or exterior members allowed. I do not think mutual aid runs are any place for juniors to be... just my opinion.

A few pictures of apparatus I managed to get with my iPhone prior to step off.

I was not referring to the casualties... more so the other comments. Of course it is not funny to lose a pet or loved one.

There was once a time when threads like this would have been deleted. Nice to see that a little "fun" can now be had.

If you have my luck, the option to change your profile picture has been removed from your account. I have brought this up and sent pm's with no luck. Best of luck. If you find a cure let me know.

Very nice. Looking forward to seeing the memorial.

I would have taken that sentence (based off of your paraphrasing since I did not see the article) that the reporter was simply saying that Yonkers has brought in Mutual Aid, which was coincidentally volunteer. It is true, Yonkers did ask for mutual aid from volunteers, since they operate the closest tankers.

Just wanted to say a few words about the wake yesterday and the funeral today. All comments in this post are my own thoughts and comments and do not reflect my professional agencies/departments. I wanted to thank the FDNY community and all other departments that were involved with the ceremonies today and yesterday. I thought both the wake and funeral service were very well organized and went very smoothly. Both had excellent turnouts. It was a great send of for Lenny and was great to see how many people came out to celebrate his legacy and to support his family during this very hard time. Having known Lenny for several years, I would expect nothing else of his friends and the people that knew him and worked with him. I was amazed at how welcoming and friendly the FDNY community was. We invited them into the PFD HQ after the wake yesterday and had a "little" reception for the family and friends. I can not even begin to count how many FDNY members came up to PFD members and introduced themselves and thanked them for letting the FDNY into their house and treating them like family. Everyone was just so happy to be surrounded by people that also knew and enjoyed knowing Lenny. Today in NYC they returned the favor. It was truly an incredible display of the amazing sense of brotherhood and sisterhood that makes what we do so special. RIP Lenny. You will be greatly missed but more important your legacy will be greatly honored.

Rest in Peace Brother.

Very Cool. Perhaps he will help out Potsdam Fire as a mutual aid member. Having done so myself, I can say that it was a life changing experience full of amazing people.
