I had the same problem. I would have to leave the external hard drive unplugged until the dell would be up and the plug the drive in. Now I have a old MAC and all is good.

Guys, oh come on now. LOL. Listen AMR, Citywide, SeniorCare, as well as several other companies have come up from the city as well as other places to complete transports. I have seen alot of patients being shipped around to different facilities of late that originated from the cities. AMR comes threw this area every day from upstate, NYC, Conn, & Mass. AMR had a station right next to Empress for several years & closed it to return back to NYC. Is there something up? Oh hell ya, but no one is going to know for sure until its a done deal. Oh good grief Charlie Brown!!! It's Your House, your rules. Oh well! IDGAS...

Seth, First let me say you are a fine young man. It is a pleasure to know you for so many years. Even before Empress. You do what is best for YOU & Your Family. I am a Paramedic today because of Bob Rizzo and a few other Medics that lead the way & supported me. Bob has been in this game & knows everyone and then some. HVP, is alot better today than where it has come from ( and I am not being disrespectful to any of the past Mgmt (except for 1 with is short life after BT). Lets face it Everyone has brought something to the table good & bad. I can also look back and recall that some people posted that the company would not be here in another 3 years. Well it's 5 years later, yes the name has changed and so has several faces. That is part of growing. The company has come along way & I will support the company to go on. Rizzo, will always have my support & the the employees at HVP should support Bob as well as our company. That will makes us even better. The old saying " Together we stand, divided we fall" . You don't have to like the company or the man to do your job, but respect and do your job. That will make the diff. That goes for everyone and where ever you work.

Rescue thats is exactily what I was going to say. A new version of the Peacekeeper. I remember they where on Dodge Powerwagon & full size Blazers & Bronco frames. These have been out for a bit. I had seen two down south a few months ago at a location.

We had them at a company that I worked for. It wasn't bad and also had the slot for the buggie ( so you can switch back to a ET Tube ). But would rather stay with a ET Tube. Sounds like the placement may have been the issue.

1st Welcome to the site. Empress is a good company ( at least I thought so when I was there ). Yes they do 911 & transports, they are union & have bennies. You will get alot from them if you are willing to work. I had also workedat transcare as well and to be nice I will leave it at that.

This Memorial Day weekend I had the pleasure of PD Boats on the Hudson. Thanks guys you made my day / Birthday and got me out of yard work too. This year I was even able to catch the NYSP Boat ( Life is good). I tried so hard last year but NYSP had eluded me, LOL.. Yes OCSD M 80 was earlier this week comming from being serviced. I am waiting for you ( Say Cheese, Please ). I am sorry I missed Westchester's & Rocklands earlier. Wasn't sure why they had been north of the Bear Mtn Bridge. I was Kayaking and couldn't get to my camera cause The commander was playing chicken with me and winning. I had also missed a Coast Guard Boat ( too fast )

Stick with what works. Yaseu makes a great radio. ( Yaseu is the Ham & Vertex is the same but set for proff operations) Same company!! Duel band radios such as Yaseu has been around for awhile. My mobile is the Yaseu 8900 it is a quad band and works great. Vertex has only made the proff versions as single band ( I will not get into that on this site. ) Yaseu can be modified to do both. This has issues as well. If you are a ham and work Pd Fire or EMS then you know what is up. Not a ham go with what you need Vertex, icom, kenwood, moto

Well that was it.... The news crew had nothing better to do. On the report they said that they heard it come over the sanner. They reported it to them selfs and then ratted on the crew to cause trouble. What a group of jerks. My best wishes to the crew, the patient, & GREAT JOB to the young man that made the radio call. I hope they offer him a job as a dispatcher.

I had just seen a add in JEMS for a thing called the six pac. It looks like a set of 3 wheels each side that attaches to a back board and moves a Pt like a hand truck. This includes on stairs (as shown in the pic). Just wondering if anyone has used it or has at their company, dept, or corp? It looks like a good idea, & anything that saves my back I am up for.
