  1. just trying to get the word out.
  2. Well where are those pictures, I remember that burn detail, Mike was Chief if I remember correctly.
  3. Easy there Dan, I never remember having any problems with the snorkel????? We just had this conversation about snorkels at JHK #1 the other morning . Here it is/was. Gotta love the 8-ball on the boom, plus yes it was RED, it got sold to a paint company I think from Chi-town
  4. From foxsports Seems this guy is making things worse for himself, what a shame. Plaxico Burress' controversial year has just taken a turn for the worse. The New York Giants wide receiver accidentally shot himself in the leg on Friday night, FOXSports.com has learned, not long after being ruled out of Sunday's game against the Redskins with a hamstring injury. He spent the night in the hospital and the injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. The team is still trying to gather further information on the incident. "We are gathering information, just like everyone else," NFL spokesman Joe Browne told The Associated Press. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/8866348?MSNHPHMA
  5. Not once but twice in two days.
  6. Our brush/utility price was around $120,000 so that was roughly a $3,600 savings for us. The unit we have spec'd is setup for not only brush/grass fires but with some firefighting punch for our dirt road/off the beaten path areas. 300 gals of water with 8 gallons of class A foam and 2- 1 3/4 preconnects as well as two hose reels, one with 200' of 1" hose and other for a dead reel for carrying our forestry hose, there also is a try to hold another 400' to 500' of forestry hose as well. It also has a port-cafs system too and the other basic hand tools. If you're not familar with the porta CAFS I supplied a link, it is a nice small piece of equipment. http://portacafs.com/demos/
  7. There have been several structure fires in Dutchess within the last few weeks, hopefully this is not the trend but you are correct, we have been saying all fall that if things got worse with the economy that this winter was going to very very busy for us in the emergency services.
  8. The price difference for us is like 3%
  9. I see that foam firefighting equipment, drop in units and wildland equipment can be purchased on GSA, I wonder if it is a stretch if a brush vehicle that has a foam system and a pump on the rear (not skid) would be eligible, maybe just maybe.
  10. that would be a vegan not a vegetarian, hey Joe they do make pizza without cheese!!!!, not as good though
  11. Sad, I will try to reach out to Vinny Liebell to see if this is something he may be able to wok on for 2009.
  12. Welcome Brian you will find a ton of information, come back often. We have several members that are in your age range also
  13. I loved working with Wayne Tyler, he treated us well, but on the last two rigs we had no luck with his reps and thus ended up buying something else.
  14. Larger mirrors = you see more of what is behind you.
  15. Dan, how about a veggie dinner for this vegetarian, yeah go ahead and say it, Yep I know I am the fattest damn vegetarian you have ever seen, hey what can I say I love pizza.
  16. I would make all attempts to try and ensure that one of your responders can stay there until PD arrives. If that can't be done then I would advise dispatch of this and let them notify the PD of the update and have the dispatcher notify me what agency handled it and the outcome. Not sure what else can be done. If the animal is left and there are no viable family contacts then I would notify the SPCA animal enforcement and have them retrieve the animal.
  17. I haven't been holiday shopping in years, yes it takes away from the spirit but all that goes out the window when you have to deal with the numerous idiots that are there with you. I do all my shopping on line. The store should play back the video and charge anyone they can ID with involuntary manslaughter.
  18. Request the PD and animal control.
  19. Great job by the way 50, the Chief will get over it. Call me Joe I have a key to the cooler, if there is room in it I am sure that could be an option, I will speak to the Dr.'s to see if this is an option for us here in the valley. You guys had one of these last year and the animals were transported to Millbrook. My wife works at a local vets and anything that is called in after hours goes to the Lagrange hospital right around the corner from Lagrange #2 on Noxon, I am not sure of the hours there though.
