Thanks Don and the crew from local2393, excellent cause. I did the walk two years ago in memory of one of our officers that died as a result of a heart attack at 42, it is a great event and time.

great shots, beautiful rig and can't wait to see it tomorrow. Very nice dedication to fallen Commissioner Wohrman.

We recently started to work on specs for a new engine and a few of our committee members took a trip to look at a Rosenbauer pumper yersterday. I have been asked to see if anyone on the forum may have a Rosenbauer apparatus or is familiar with the product. We have visited the website http://www.rosenbaueramerica.com/apparatus/trucks/wildland (click on the video at the bottom of the page). If you may have something to share about them you can send myself or the Signman a PM. Thanks, Mark

We currently have three Pierce apparatus, one Rescue 1 rescue and our tanker is a Smeal, all are excellent pieces and well built with excellent workmanship. We are just looking to see what else is out there with newer apparatus. Thanks for all the feedback.

nice rig, best of luck with it and many years of service.

Pretty neat idea having the officer's name on the car, shows pride and that the officers are individuals not just a Police Dept name, excellent touch, thanks for sharing Seth.

Rest in Peace. Sorry to hear the news, add in the care received while at the hospital, she just could not overcome the injuries suffered.

Dan the picture was either on UV's website or the one Bobby B from Pawling had on facebook, can't access either from work. Thanks PDFF'er and 67-13 for the info.

Richie you are correct, Wassaic does not have a CAFS pumper, however they do have two pumpers that have 20 gallon Class A Foam systems which work very well. We responded a few years back to Sharon CT and pumped Class A foam from 69-11 through Dover's Ladder to extinguish a silo fire which worked extremely well. Millerton was called to the scene with their CAFS engine.

welcome Ed and looking forward to your trip to Wassaic, sorry you missed the ice rescue class.

The poster you refer to actually is a paid Asst. Chief as well a volunteer Chief, so let's please not turn this into a volunteer vs. paid thing and discuss the topic of the thread, thanks

Sounds like a task for the emtbravo road patrol to find him
-
Ryan thanks for that information, clears it up very nicely

The reflective tape appears to make the unit very visible, add in the emergency lights I am sure you will have no problem seeing the rig.
