Does anyone know where this hose cart is? It is the Gail Borden cart, Mr. Borden established the condensed milk factory in Wassaic. The photo is from the Kensico Dam Muster and is from Firehouse Magazine cover, July 1993. photo is by Harvey Eisner.

I have to get permission from the Town, as they are the owner

awesome ride, thanks Seth

More like a tank top, can't afford sleeves.

Dan how about this 3+6=9 so if we take that 9 and add it to the 6 we get 69 so with that established 69-3 says take 36 truck to Amenia.

Mark I was thinking the same thing, layoffs solve nothing. As a state employee without a contract for three years how much more do these people actually think we can give. I would love to be in a position to say here take a year without a raise, they are already have X3, I am supposed to be grateful I have a job. We got our last retro money in early 2008 for five years back pay, I won't go into the amount but I lost half in taxes, it raised my salary into another tax bracket and the kicker is my son is off to college in the fall and yep they use my 2008 salary for financial aid. I am one tired state employee that has to suffer every time the states needs $$$$.

My bad, got that wrong photo.

hopefully he starts with himself. It used to be a very good thing to be a NYS employee, can't be said anymore

The home in Wells was new construction having been built in mid 2008 and had to meet the current building code. OFPC is conducting the fire investigation there. From what I have read and heard it seeems that as with many cases, inaccurate items and information has been reported and speculated. I work for OMRDD and conduct fire safety inspections in our homes located in Dutchess, Putnam, Ulster, Columbia and Greene counties. There are several factors that go into determining evacuation times and assessments that are to long to even begin here. Please read the following article from the times union, I am sure you will be surprised at the content http://timesunion.com/ASPStories/Story.asp...mp;LinkFrom=RSS

Very nice, love the red over black, nice simple layout.

Chief what are the specs of the Kawasaki, looks like a great resource, thanks for sharing.

Good deal, more water for the valley, that's always good.

Our first due engine is a top mount pump so the crosslays generally do not obstruct the operators access to the panel. One other advantage to the rear pull is that there is usually more hose packed there as opposed to the normal 200' preconnect; if more line is needed it is just pulled. We have 300' preconnected off the rear; the extra 100' helps with a longer line stretch to the rear or 2nd floor. Cogs point #1 is an excellent point as far as pulling off the rear and the placement, thus leaving room for the truck, if you have one or one is coming under M/A.

Chris great shots and views, what is the large building in the background in the first picture? What is the status of the fire at this time?
-
Nice to know that this resource is out there and fairly close to our district.
-
Tom thanks for sharing, excellent post, a great reminder to ensure that all areas are checked.

We received a call from the county letting us know that we may be headed next to Lagrange with 69-31, this was shortly after we returned from the Millbrook fire with the rig. Clearly there are tankers closer but the method that is used to not strip one area of resources is what is used in these types of large scaled incidents.
