Virg if you could that would be great, thanks in advance.

That would be nice, County Cars and Chiefs get to sit in the luxury box seating.

Just a short ride North on Metro North, the firehouse in the background right and the field in the foreground is the event site, right off Rt. 22. photo credit to Otto Vondrak with permission taken from our website: www.wassaicfirerescue.com

I will be on hand with the camera, hopefully we can get some video as well.

My pager is still on the low band 46.36 and has been working ok, the 46.36 is only off Clove tower, I get every dispatch made by the 911 center, it would be a real shame if it is bounced. I also have a UHF pager/portable which does not work as well, we out here on the Eastern side of the county are still having issues with the pagers opening since the simo dispatch change and some members continue to miss calls. They have come out and tested a few times but we still have issues.

is that a custom cup holder you got mounted on the hood!!!!!

One hell of a porch fire, excellent shots, I spy Matt Cady, looks like he is getting alittle more thin on the dome and once again we get action shots of the Rock at work.
-
Great shots Bill as always, looks and sounded like a well organized incident. Nice to see some of the fellow EMTBRAVO members at work, doing what they do best.
-
Tom had mentioned the winch mounts (receivers), any shots of the front? and will the winch remain mounted on the front or in a compartment? Like how the district logo was added to the rear ca doors, very nice, Thanks

White 18 hp tractor, nice machine with a double bagger, works excellent, I used it for three seasons cutting 15 lawns a week, thank god that it over with, now it is just mine and the in-laws.

Very nice vehicle, looks to be well designed with many uses that should provide excellent service to the EF Fire District for many years, thanks for sharing. One question, are the mini-arrow sticks on the rear setup independent of each other or hooked together, we are trying to figure out this type of design for our new utility.

thanks Dave, I thought so and confirmed it when I saw the pictures on your website.

ChiefUVFD was this the barn on the sharp corner very close to the road?
-
100% correct Chris, we need to be much more forward thinking, the climate is changing and the Northeast is obviously effected, I can't remember this many larger scaled grass/brush fires and another red flag day today. So we finally are going to purchase the gear.

We're hoping to join you by summer and outfit the membership with the wildland PPE, maybe even those pink tipped boots, gotta see what the NYS Chief's show offers.

There were some excellent issues that where discussed in another thread that were off topic that involved insurance and the operation of a personal vehicle as an emergency vehicle and district or company vehicles and coverage. This discussion was very positive and clearly needed to be continued so I started a new thread on that very topic. As posted by member Steve Shryock: I'll look through the VTL and check with a few friends who are attorneys that work for insurance companies and do the defense work on these types of accidents. The municipality may get a rider from their insurance company to cover a POV only for the times the POV is used in emergency mode. that is usually coordinated between the insurance companies, the insured (dept member) and the agents. The member must still maintian his personal coverage to cover him when not on official duties but there have been agreements in the past with endorsements on the policies that if, for example, a chief uses his personal vehicle for response then the department will only cover him for those responses. Finally there member may have to have very high liability limits, such as a million dollars per accident coverage (nys min auto insurance is 25,000/50,000). I will also check with the PD about the MV104 notations. Finally VAC officer POV may be the same as for firefighter. I'll make a few calls & research it. may take a few days though to get everyone's opinion.

thanks Steve we are waiting patiently, again thanks for taking the time to look into this for us, it is much appreciated.

Tim you hit a home run, that is it in a nutshell, it's about funding and $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

We in Wassaic are pretty lucky, our Rescue Squad Asst. Chief is allowed to leave work during the day calls from Taconic DDSO and we also have a member (our driver) that is allowed to leave from another very supportive business, the Pawling Corp so we usually are on the road prior to second dispatch which is 5 minutes. As Josh from Millerton has said NDP responds usually from the Millerton areas so depending on the response area and or call type it could be 7 to 15 minutes for them to arrive on scene. As I had stated, we know that this is not a solution and have realized that clearly there are some things that need fixing. We have asked to have these areas addressed but as of right now it has not so I give kudos to our past chief for actually thinking forward with NDP and coming up with a plan that at least gets a rig rolling until the other politics is set aside and the issue is finally addressed.
