Here in Union Vale, we have a full set of EMS equiptment including and AED on our rescue truck at sta 1, and our rescue/pumper at sta 2. Also car 1, and every EMS officer has an AED since atlest one of us always beats the ambulance to the scene.

It almost seems like a personal preference thing, Some medics love them , and others want to throw them out the window.

We have a mobile cascade here in Union Vale as well, it's on our 67-51.

Wow, i must say this is a sweet looking rig.

Here in Union Vale, we have TransCare staffing the fire dept. with an ALS truck which is 1st out to all ems calls from 6a-6p All 2nd calls in district will be covered by the FD ambulances alond with an als crew or flycar from transcare. Nights and weekends are all covered by volunteers and a als crew or flycar as needed.

I always thought it was your duty as a member of the EMS/Fire serivce to stop at the scene of an emergency if no other personel were there, or is this only HVP that does this? Also, the two emt's that stopped are excellent tech's. Good Job guys. Stay Safe Everyone!

I heard that Vassar Bros. Medical Center in Poughkeepsie has a limited supply of anti-venom. Any truth to this? It would be interesting to know. Thanks.

I also work for HVP/REMS. I can't complain. It has has it's up's and down's...BUT, so does any other agency. I've seen many improvements since I was hired during the tail end of the Empire days. I guess you could say it's a growing company, and I like the bosses. I also work at TransCare, another good place to work.
