I saw that when it came out on VES and wondered if the submitting person was a member here. Nice catch, it's an interesting find.

I would argue that despite the raw numbers, from the police chief (who was indicted on felony drug ring charges) to lower level LEO's (Accused of assault and charged with DUI's), there seems to be a lot of bad apples in the bunch. I don't think marshal law is the answer though, the news sensationalized one option that was mentioned.

I got into a conversation last night, and apparently Rensselaer County just south of Albany has a county-wide collapse rescue team. Another possible resource.

There is nothing immediately available to us here in the NE corner of the county if I am not mistaken. I would be inclined to contact the state to assemble a crew out of Albany. This is something that does need to be settled out - the next time I talk to Lenny I will ask him for his perspective.

We are spec'ing a Rosenbauer tanker. One of the guys came down with basically the exact same thing we'd be getting and we were impressed. The swivel dump in the rear that is featured will be very nice.

I was told the plan is to make it town hall. I think AFC is still gun-ho on their cascade rd. station, but I could be wrong. I don't know. It's just so weird that the district has had to consolidate so much over the years, even from when I was in school which wasn't that long ago.

Maybe I a missing the sub-forum. Maybe not. But I think we need a chat room - whether on here or an IRC channel. Does anyone else agree?
