I just wanted to share an experience that I had earlier today in Mount Vernon. I was lost and looking for a street I could not find. As I was driving down Fulton St. I noticed a firehouse. I then decided to stop in and ask for directions. As I pulled in I noticed that it was the quarters of Rescue 1 and an Engine Co. (Both trucks were inside there respected bays). I then knocked on the door and got no response, I then rang a door bell and again got no response. I then knocked on the door alittle bit harder and got no response. I then continued to lean on the door bell, and got no response. Finally after waiting a few moments, I said the hell with this and left. I was kind of disappointed to see a firehouse and nobody there to answer the door. Made me think, thank god I was not there to report an emergency.

How the hell do you or anybody else know how fast they were going, wait for the investigation to be completed then give your @#$%$#@ opinion. Everybody is an Expert, with out knowing any of the facts. Hey pbvpm, I was basicing my @#%#@ opinion on the fact that two witnesses stated the truck was moving at a high rate of speed and that the truck was turning the corner and flipped three times. No other vehicles were involved. Based on those facts, how do you flip a tower ladder. It doesnt take a brain surgeon to figure this one out. Dont jump down somebody's throat when they voice there opinion, grow up!.

Atleast he was protecting his ears, LOL.
-
The bottom line is, forget what the speed of the civilian witnesses state. The operator was traveling to fast to control the truck.

The show is all about everything and nothing about firefighting.

It is quite interesting to see the tower ladder that Mount Vernon purchased and the one Tarrytown purchased. One with all the bells and whistles, and one with out. I would be curious to know what the purchase price is between the two ladders.

Why do you think NYPD went to white RMP's after all those years of blue & white. $$$$$. Think of how much money they saved, considering the size of there fleet.
