Old news. https://cbcny.org/advocacy/cbc-report-calls-transforming-fdnys-response-medical-emergencies

Just look around NYC area. Private ambulance companies driving around with sirens on non stop. Also add on all the 911 units.
-
Other way around. They added nypd to the car. They all said police but from front or back ,you couldn't see what agency it was. Take a look at some old photos.
-
Emd is staffed by emts
-
It will be neither the primary or backup. It will be psac-2 Each 911 center will be designed to handle 50% of the 911 load. If either center has to go off line then the other goes to 100% Most people are calling it the backup because currently there is only one center
-
Maybe some sort of on scene medical control, like in the city.
-
NYC will dispatch as a call with fever / travel
-
Yes. The 50 rescues would be bls, als haztac and rescue medics from what I am told
-
300 type 1 50 medium duty 50 medium duty rescue medic configuration All subject to change.

This is a bid! Contract has not been adwared to wheeled coach yet. They were the only bidder, city can take it or try again . As far as cost ,our ambulances are nothing like the ones on the road here in westchester Even if you purchased all the bells and whistles

There are two MCC's Back has a table with a small conference setup. Front is a long row of work stations on both sides. Lots of radios , ACU and communications equipment. Spare Radios, EFAS setups and other things that the Field Comm would have. Planning is part of the IMT It has a small work station in rear for large scale printer for MAPs Front section has push out side with bench and table. Once pushed out the table can be doubled in side and have chairs around the side without the bench. The vehicle doesn't have radio gear like the MCC more of a mobile office with printers, phones and computer connections. Operations unit is a smaller MCC style unit.

These would be the least critical patients or the lowest priority. In these situations we should use triage and make these black tags. The goal is to get to the red tag patients who are bleeding out. Also as far as just grabbing people and pulling them out, may want to rethink this. No need to pull dead people out and we should consider quick combat type bleeding control and then remove. Green Tags can be directed a safe route out and only issue would be the yellow tags. Would need to consider leaving in place if safe or use resources to remove. Look at Boston. Most patients who were in danger of bleeding out had some form of bleeding control done, many by bystanders. No spinal immobilization just quick bleeding control and go.

Not all the stations were new, but some were created in old firehouses and other locations. Anyone want to add to the list or correct it. For the guys saying nothing has been done, I don't think that's true. Also due you think HHC would have added or updated stations? In Manhattan. Station 7 - New Temp Station 8 - New (Replacement) Station 13 - New Temp Station 16 - New (But torn down due to issues) Bronx: Station 3 - Being Built Station 15 - Old E63 Station 17 - Old E68 Station 18 - New Station 19 - Old E75 Station 27 - New (Old Ladder 39 Location) Station 55 - Old E71 Staten Island: Station 22 - New Queens: Station 47 - New Station 50 - Being built Station 52 - Old Firehouse Station 54 - New Brooklyn: Station 32 - New Station 35 - New Station 38 - New Station 40 - Old Firehouse Station 44 Station 57 - New

Just an FYI with feeling heat. FDNYs new attitude is when you feel heat threw your ppe you need to leave or cool the room with a line.
-
Time frame is only front line rigs. Everything else has not rules, Shops will decide when to junk a spare or special rig. Foam rigs / MERV1 are all 80's early 90's. I am sure there are some others .
-
Also look at the new NFPA spec. They had a lot to do with the spec, and I would take the class before you buy. You will get to see the tech behind gthem and get some ideas. I actually like the image on the old large msa unit. However no one uses that tech anymore.

Scanner apps get there audio from broadcastify Unless you get a app to remote control a scanner but at that point might as well share and put it on broadcastify
-
If it's the same as FDNY and thats was the plan, all the same units able to respond to each other. It has a winch in floor and with a Ferno LBS? can be used to move large patients instead of the old placing them on the floor.
-
Some of the issues might be related to the interfacing of icad and old software such as starfire and emscad.
-
Don't think any of these are high pressure, unless something has changed. High pressure contract went to seagrave and should start to arrive next month.

We do have other colors. Black is just the basic hydrant with less need to clean it. They do get a regular paint job, just painted most in our area.

Its almost an annual thing that a photographer gets arrested in the city. If your not breaking the law such as the guy in the El platform, you might end up with a nice payday. Also street is pretty much always fair game. You can't be asked to delete photos or show them. However your camera can be confiscated and a judges order can allow the PD to view.
