Does anyone know if a wetdown has been scheduled?

Mount Kisco is not in Battalion 13 it is in Bat 16. Every company in Mount Kisco (of which there are 4) purchases their own chiefs car for their own chief. Every 2 years each chief moves up in ranks. Each company has a number assigned to them which are 12, 13, 14 and 15. The Independents are designated 13 so they felt that instead of having to change the cars rank every 2 years this would be more appropriate. Hence the Chief 13

Just a reminder Mount Kisco's Firemans Parade is tonight. Parade steps off at 7:00 PM. The parade goes up Moore Ave, Left onto Main Street then stays on Main past the Mutual House/Movie Theater, Makes another left onto S. Moger Ave and then ends in front of Station 1 on Green Street

The reviewing stand will be in the same place as last year, right before the Mutual House on the right hand side

I wish him the best of luck but it is going to be tough. I have read a good amount of the actual ruling from the supreme court, but another member of my company who is a lawyer said that the ruling itself is different than what most people think. According to him the ruling was that the City of New Haven was wrong for throwing out the results BEFORE they were sued. It is unclear if they would had ruled a different way if a lawsuit had been pressed by the minorities then the results were thrown out.

I have been following this case, and whole story very closely since it broke a while back but it is really an interesting case. It doesn't surprise me that they didn't talk about it much in the firehouses for this reason: There wasn't a group of people who "forced" the City of New Haven to do this. The city did it on their own in fear of a law suit, but as far as i know there was not one about to be pressed or even in the works. It is a great step in society, hopefully not only in the fire service, but every other industry will recognize this as a step in the right direction, and that your race should not matter either way when applying and hiring for a job.

I seriously have a hard time believing that, his what i would almost consider a threat by General Motors. We are all aware how much trouble that industry is in, especially GM, but i have a hard time believing that they are going to discontinue the Tahoe. Personally, I feel like this "threat" was made to help GM get the funding they are asking for. The government is aware how dependent local, state, and even the federal government is on GM, especially the Tahoe/Suburban. If anything i feel like they are more likely to cut something like the Chevy Aveo, which barely sell, and sell for cheap at that.
