Writer: ?? 1325- Box 1245 transmitted for a structure fire. 1326- Batt3 10-84, Smoke showing 10-26(All hands) 1328- Batt3 reports a 2 story frame duplex with fire in the walls. Looks like it started as brush. 1331- Batt3 reports 10-36 (2nd alarm) E6 is FAST 1335- 3 lines in operation, trucks opening, searches in progress. Doubtful. 1357- Under Control with prolonged overhaul. 1530- All Co's 10-8

Date: 3/28/06 Time: 0752hrs Box: 3760 Location: 1299 Eastern Pkwy X Buffalo Ave Frequency: 154.430 (citywide) Units Operating: Description Of Incident: Heavy Fire on arrival in a 4 story brick 75x100 OMD. Writer: CAM502 0752- Box 3760 transmitted for a reported structure fire. 0928- Field Comm (Car7) reports TL's are shutting down. 4 handlines in operation. Searches are underway but will be delayed due to partial roof collapse. This fire is Doubtful. 0948- Field Comm (Car7) reports primary searches complete on the top floor. Other searches will be delayed due to the partial collapse. This fire is Probably Will Hold. 0957- Field Comm (Car 7) reports this fire is Under Control.

Date: 3/27/06 Time: 1400hrs Location: 80-71 and 80-67 90th RD x80th St Box: 8543 Frequency: 154.400 Units Operating: Description Of Incident: Fire in a 2-story Private Dwelling Writer: CAM502 1402- Incoming Ladder Co reports heavy smoke condition from a distance. 4 and 2 on the box due to multiple callers. 1404- Squad 10-84, 10-75 Fire on the first and second floors of a 2 story peaked roof private dwelling. 1406- Batt 39 to Queens. "Transmit the second alarm we have an exposure problem." 1411-Batt 39 reports two 20x40 2-story dwellings involved. 4 lines streched and 3 in operation. Fire is doubtful. 1416- Division 13 reports 5 lines streched with 4 in operation. Fire started in an auto in the alley and extended. Truck's are opening up, searches in progress, this fire is doubtful. 1425- Field Comm. (Div 13) reports 6 lines streched with 5 in operation. The Companies are making good progress on the fire. Searches are in progress and this fire is doubtful. K. 1434- Field Comm. (Car 9-Chief Sweeny) reports corrected location (see above), also 10-41 code 1 (suspicious) due to heavy volume of fire upon arrival. Special call 2 trucks above the 2nd. Fire is doubtful. 1442- Field Comm. (Car 9) reports special call 2 Engines above the second for relief. This fire is Probably Will Hold. (Duration time is 42min.) 1459- Field Comm reports Car 9 places this fire under control.

Higher air flow and bigger fuel injectors to allow higher fuel flow is what this article says...now I'm not a mechanic but it sounds like it would burn more gas. And generally more power does mean more fuel. Of course there are exceptions.

Awe gee, my 5.4L V8 wasn't burning enough of that $2.75/gallon gas I think I need a supercharger!!!!

It very easily could have come along one of the rivers and crossed on a bridge in the middle of the night. Doubt it was a prank. You even find the occasional deer or turkey in Manhattan sometimes.

More and more of these every year. I saw one on the Cross County Pkwy right by the MVHS foot bridge last year.

Just wanna state for the record that if you think the cities are the only places you find gangs, then you are very wrong. You ain't the only one "moving upstate". These punks are making money doing whatever they do and move out of the hood. But just cause they moved to a nice house does not mean they have changed there ways. Anyone from the county Task Force or whatever they call it now can vouch for this.
