We even had someone on the boards here take a WATERMARKED photo one of the Mod's took, crop out the watermark, and post it here in the forums!!!!!!!

Kurt, you are correct, the 'plaque', if you will, on the hood is in fact illuminated. I agree that less can be more. I just felt that some of the vehicles of theirs I had seen were a little less than noticeable, but those were a couple years ago.

http://www.michigan.gov/msp/0,1607,7-123-1574-228581--,00.html From the link above, it discusses how as the old rotators (that they recycle from car to car) develop internal issues, such as rotators going bad, and the lights are no longer produced, they are upgrading the interiors to LED's (as can be seen in the article and a couple of the YouTube videos posted). And is it just me, or does that MSP 'Vette look photoshopped?

It is true for the most part, but, not that I agree that their lighting is effective enough, but that it just my opinion. I am a fan of blinkies, don't get my wrong, but even I think the rear of this vehicle is overkill. That being said, the install itself does appear clean, and well done, as is usual with SWS!!!

This thread was split from the Photo Thread: Keep in mind the Chief of Chelsea (35-1) has posted in here, and I would recommend, if you DO have any further questions, per his request, feel free to get in contact with him!

This thread is for discussion of photographs of the incident. Any other discussion should go in a Discussion Thread, in the Regional Dutchess forum. The back and forth, and 'accusations' stop here!! This is why comments were disabled in this forum for a while. Photographers got tired of their photos being picked apart, berated, and going WAY off topic. If noone can handle this simple task, this thread will become locked. Thank you Jet, for posting the photos. *Edit - all off (photo) topic posts have been split to a Discussion Thread (see link below):

I will be by this week to get mine!!

I agree 100%, goes along the lines with agencies that use "Paramedic Service(s)" in their names, even if they have BLS units, the citizen's don't know the difference, but that is a horse of a different color. My basic point, I feel things like that are misleading.

Yes, the collapsible idea is not a bad one... But that doesn't solve the frequent abusers who cannot follow the SIMPLE rules of it, and spam it, and ruin it for the guys who DO like to keep tabs on it...

Love the old construction, and it is a sad state to see it in...

Well done gents. Hope more people really get the message!!!!

Huh? I know who everyone is, and why they were there, I was just correcting a statement that was made. Lol, right?

What in the world is going on in Amenia? Relocations earlier, and the Dutchess County Fire Police Response Team just got called out to respond, and staging point is the Amenia Fire Station. This is all I have heard so far. **Edit: 1845hrs - DC911 toned out that the County Fire Police Response Team response has been cancelled, and all can go back in service.
-
WOW! Never know what you're gonna run into, another reason I love this job!! Glad your LT wasn't in it, I am sure he would have encountered a mild case of the brown-shorts... Nice photos/story told by the photos!!!

Both are in that picture (look behind Broas), but since it was a fire in LaGrange, I would assume that 47-2 was Command, not 56-1...

Amenia is currently operating mutual aid with en engine to Sharon, and just got toned out for a reported structure fire, along with Wassaic and Millerton M/A. Busy day up that end of the County... Edit: 2100hrs - Amenia, 2nd dispatch, Millerton 2nd disp for 1 engine and tanker, Millbrook 1 tanker, for a working structure fire -

I actually forgot to come back here and post. I did get a rundown from someone a while ago. Wassaic was toned out to go on stand-by in Amenia with a utility. -
Another McMansion burns... oh well, I am sure those developers would build another one on the same spot within a month (if it had been beyond repair)... Cheap particle-board, trusses everywhere... be safe out there with all this "engineered lumber"... designed to hold substantial weight, but not under fire loads. Firefighter killers!!!

And ya didn't stop?!?!?! Man, you woulda gotten some GREAT video. Thanks for this short tease!!!

Unfortunately, the general public feels a need to do stupid things and put themselves in precarious positions, and then they dial 9-1-1 because they know/expect that they will get help to pull them out of stupid situations. And (up here at least, since no ESU daily on the road types like in major cities), if they have a crime or something can be solved with a gun, the cops come. Everything else is expected to be solved by the FD. And, on top of it all, adding to everything, after help arrives, they CONTINUE to do stupid things, like adding additional victims/would-be rescuers, because they don't feel that enough is being done fast enough. Sadly, everyone expects everything immediately these days. People who dial 9-1-1 feel that help should be sitting around the corner from their emergency, and help should be instantaneous. Very sad what people think/expect these days.

Typically, at least up here, there are only Code 1, and Code 3. I have never heard anything in my area said to respond "Code 2". Code 1 = Lights and Sirens OFF (Still proceed in, but with traffic) Code 2 = Not used (at least up here) Code 3 = Lights and Sirens Activated
