I have recently seen a NYSP cruiser on the TSP with a set of these, and was wondering the same thing. I had thought they were radar units mounted, yet it didn't seem to make sense to have 2 of them facing the same direction, and mounted on the outside. Thanks, my curiosity has been squashed!! I will be on the lookout for this cruiser, and see if I can't snap a pic.

I guess the truth hurts, and hits just a bit too close to home, huh?

Just as a side-note, up at the top of the description of the course, it gives that dates of July 17th-19th for the Basic, and the 20th-21st for the Advanced, yet a little farther down, by the hourly breakdown, it still lists the dates as being in April, so just adjust accordingly!!

Even not opening any jobs, I still think this would be an AWESOME class to take. Not saying its not important, but I just think it would be cool. 66Alpha1, if I can scrounge together the fundage, I hope to join you there for the July class!!

I captured this pic on Rt. 55 in Poughkeepsie/LaGrange about a week, week and a half ago. Very impressive and effective lighting. Also, I know of at least one slicktop with LED lighting out of Troop K, with a bunch of Whelen Talons (one or 2 in front, 2 in rear), LIN8 units on the mirrors, and hideaway strobes in the corner lights. It is my understanding that Troop K has a bout 3 or 4 cruisers outfitted with the latest and greatest in LED technology. I believe the only additional lighting besides the lightbar is an amber LED lightstick on the rear deck, and maybe 2 TIR3s in the grille. Saw a few of these on the TSP a few weeks back at a serious wreck at night, making it look like Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind.

Think this is a cool new toy! Does't it just make you think of all the destruction, and mayhem you can cause?!?!?!?

Oh how i WISH I had the money to support a hobby such as that. Those Code 3's are beautiful. Too bad for the whole poor college student thing, lol.

Honestly, the only way this thread will die is if an Admin comes in and shuts it down. To be the one that kills this thread would be quite a disappointment.

I posted this article, or at the least the link, in another thread. The thread's title is "How old is too old?" http://emtbravo.net/index.php?showtopic=17447&st=15

Mine is sitting in its original box awaiting shipping back to Canon. I broked mine :-( (yes I know I spelled it wrong, it was intentional)

Just had this link forwarded to me, and it fits here perfectly. Firehouse.com: Ohio Firefighter on the Job for 81 Years

So is it SCPA, or SPCA? I don't mean to nit-pick, I have just never heard of the SCPA, and was curious is you mistakenly typed it in and meant SPCA.

Haha, you know, going back through some of my old posts, I see that quite a few threads ended after I posted something. Until now, I kind of thought of myself as quite a thread killer, but now I know I am not alone. Is this the start of a support group?

I had to do some research about another one of these jokes that I had been shown a year or so ago. Since this time, people caught on to what was happening, and it would appear they "remedied the problem". Shown below is a story on what had been happening. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/3298443.stm

This doesn't work anymore, but you used to be able to: Go to Google.com Type in "WMD" or "Weapons of Mass Destruction" Hit "I'm Feeling Lucky" It, USED to pop up with this, which was saved by another site http://japester.ucc.asn.au/humour/womd/

With the weekend approaching, what is everyones thoughts on this storm? Will it really be as bad as they are predicting? Who is gearing up already for pumpouts, MVAs, generator assistance runs, and of course, the endless medical calls. Seems they all wait til the weather is bad to get sick/hurt. And, historically speaking, we all know how the Weather Service operates. Call for storms, everyone to brace - Nothing Call for a dusting - Blizzard Call for "a mixture of rain/snow/sleet/hail/cats and dogs, and even ferrets" - ???? It also figures, it has to come and rain on my parade, and be at its worst on my birthday on Sunday. Figures, huh?
