Haha, besides, was just bustin' chops. Don't want to hurt anyones feelings. Some people on here are likely to take offense if corrected.

I don't know what "not so great" pictures you are talking about, but I think the Blackhawk one is sweet!!! -

I remember this was back in the Summer of 2002. It was only a few months after I joined my department, and we as well were going out left and right for the outside smoke investigations. -

I got a call from a friend in New Paltz earlier today (about 1700hrs) telling me about a large volume of smoke he saw by him. In driving past the Dutchess County Airport, I could see a HUMONGOUS plume of smoke across the river, and it would appear all the bits and pieces are coming together and making sense now, lol! I unfortunately did not even think to take a picture to show the size, which I regretted about 5 minutes after passing the airport. -

EFFD3918, do not, and I repeat, do NOT go freelance. If the situation required it, the same process would be accomplished through Dutchess County 911. Let your department be requested, and if need be, you will be asked. On a separate note, I did in fact hear a couple different department chiefs getting toned out to contact Dutchess 911 earlier this evening. -
I got a call from a friend about 25 minutes into the incident, which made me mad, because if I had known about it at initial dispatch, I would have gone and buffed it for some photo ops. Hopefully JetPhoto got some shots!!

I do agree x134, now that I think about it. The bumper looks too full, with all that lettering, lol!!
-
Keep the remarks professional guys. What was done, was done, and that is just what it is. Done. Use this information to make yourselves better in the future. If you think it was unprofessional, make sure you think about it every time you have to stretch a LDH. Whether it was professional or not, its done and over with. Besides, no one is perfect. No one on this board has any right to judge another member/department of their actions (unless it is something obviously stupid and life/safety threatening). If you know someone from that department, then discuss it like professionals with them, do not just post nonsensical remarks here.
-
Ok, maybe it was HOW I said it. I would think it would look better if the lettering was reversed, was the point I was getting to. With it directly on the front, it would be readable in rear view mirrors if it was reversed.

Saw this vehicle this AM on my way into work. It was behind me for most of my travels down the Arterial (I came in off 55, and it pulled in off of 44). The one thing I didn't like was the lettering on the front bumper. I mean, it doesn't look bad or anything, but I think the "FIRE PLEASANT VALLEY CHIEF" on the front bumper would be better suited like many ambulances do.

Haha, well thanks all for all the birthday wishes. I am surprised you actually stopped by today FFD941. Guess it helps when 2 choppers come in, lol! x648eng119. Thanks, lol, you owe me a drink!

Bill, you know you always manage to make an average photo op an splendiforous one. Your choice of angles, lighting, and a knack for good timing make the photo.

Nothing has been brought to my attention as far as and Tickets being submitted. I am the head of the Member Support Associates (Live Support gurus) and no one has told me of any help tickets, nor have I personally seen yours. I apologize for any delay, but it would appear no one has any knowledge of its existence. The way to quote multiple sentences in one posting, would be to click on the QUOTE button in the lower right corner of the specific post you want to quote. This will activate the Quoting ability, which you can tell is done, when the QUOTE button turns red. You then have to go to the bottom of the entire page, and click on ADD REPLY, for it to appear once you are ready to post it. You can click on multiple different QUOTE buttons for different posts in the same thread, to quote all the different posters. From there, you can delete out what you don't want quoted, specific to what you plan on discussing. So, for example, if x635 and I both post something you want to reply to, QUOTE both of our posts, go to the bottom, ADD REPLY, and select the portions of our posting you want to reply to, and voila!! Please, in the future, do not wait this long for a reply. We normally aim at 24 hour turnaround time (at the most) for any tickets, and if we do not reply to you at ALL, it is probably be cause we did not receive the ticket! Thanks for your questions, and feel free to use the Support Program in the future. Live Help is only available when one of us (or multiple of us) are online (obviously). If we are not online though, the program will forward you to our "answering service" which is a Ticket that gets submitted, we review it, and will get back in contact with you, with an answer, hopefully within 24 hours!! -xfirefighter484x, MSA

Lol, ok, ok, all joking aside, I want to try and keep this thread on topic, about this specific incident.

The gents from Fairview do not all just sit in the truck all the time. I work at Saints, and can tell ya 100% positive my information is 100% accurate, lol. Fairview is (temperature dependent ) standing outside the rig to make sure traffic does not bypass them and drive right by the landing medevac, and also, helps us move the patient from the medevac into the ER if we need help. Good bunch of guys! And also FFD941.

http://www.emtbravo.net/index.php?showtopic=23291 The above link refers to (1) pediatric from triple fatal that was txp to Saint Francis for stabilization, and then from Saints by ground down to WMC (since MVA was weather related, which also prevented a medevac initially, as well as for transfer). Lol, what did you call him Dave???
-
SOP for LZs in East Fishkill, and yes, it is in the anticipation that if something does go wrong, they can SCOTT up fast, and go to work. I doubt if it is StatFlight/LifeNet SOP, because numerous LZs (including when Fairview stands by at Saint Francis for incoming medevacs) I do not notice anyone with an SCBA on, just as well, most LZs nowadays (hopefully all) I do not notice handlines being pulled anymore. True FFD941. It is not standard practice (anymore) for a handline to be pulled for just that reason. Not per se. Saints does have the capacity to handle a pediatric trauma, for basic stabilization, as has been done in the past. However, in the past, it is common practice for us to stabilize, and then ship the patient out to WMC for further, in depth treatment.

I also found this! http://assembly.state.ny.us/leg/?bn=S04842 The text from the bill is below. Be sure to read the last sentence, BOLDED and underlined. So if this was repealed on 4-1-08, does anyone know what came of it??
