  2. You never know Bohlmann....you never know...
  3. Haha, yea, you and the FWD came up in discussion. Craig is back online, and with a few more tweaks, he will be rockin the boards.....hopefully! And here is Mr. mbendel36 "hard at work" while I was "helping" out Craig!
  4. I hate you Bendel!
  5. If memory serves me correctly (which I know it does) it seems to me you were in the back of the ambulance with him, were you not?? Regardless, seems to me a wonderful job done by all, the East Fishkill FD, PD, Rescue Squad, any and all other PD agencies, and MLSS. A great deal of credit for keeping this young boy alive. I saw him when he got into the ER at Saint Francis that morning, as I was working, and he had barely any life to him, and I can guarantee what little he had, was maintained by ALL who responded that day.
  6. According to the listing:
  7. And you call me a whacker/buff Turbo???????
  8. They didn't earn the nickname "Poughkeepsie Urinal" for nothin'!!
  9. Ya know, when TAPSJ texted me telling me about the fire, I ALMOST took my "lunch break" as well, x129k, lol!! I am disappointed I didn't, seeing as I was at work just down the road!!
  10. The only apparatus I saw on scene were 32-2, -6, -11, -14, -16, -46, -67, and City of Poughkeepsie E-2
  11. An AFD FF comes out after suppression operations, during overhaul ops AFD FF Tarquinio after suppression operations, during overhaul ops
  12. The few half-decent pictures I got: Looking at the #4/1 side of the house. Fire was in the 2nd floor Looking South on Crestwood, we see 32-11, 32-46 behind -11, 32-14., and 32-52 AFD Deputy Chief Pells looks on as overhaul operations go on AFD Deputy Chief Pells consults with Firefighters during overhaul operations
  13. Haha, Ryan looks so thrilled!! Please pass on to John, I don't think that is NFPA rated!!
  14. Lol, we're just SO privileged to handle all those psychs!!
  15. Not quite sure what the cause was, but I got on scene about 2 minutes after DC911 transmitted the distress alarm, and there was no apparent issue. Another guy from here beat me to the scene, and got a few shots during roof vent ops, main body was k/d, and venting done by time I arrived, with little if any smoke left. I grabbed a few pictures during overhaul, but nothing spectacular. Special thanks go out to DCJPells for being very inviting and bringing us up to the front lines for pictures. Will post pictures later tonight, I do not have my card reader readily available.
  16. Thank God no one was critically injured or killed. A Red Light Cam in St. Louis Missouri caught these 2 quints responding, and colliding with each other. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vXuKeBHY82g
  17. Amen! Switched to Verizon about 2 months ago, have the best service I have had in years, in places I never used to, the cost is lower, the features are more, the phones cost less, and I got a better discount. Unfortunately, the point you bring up Seth, is exactly the same topic I had a conversation with a friend about last night. I dearly miss the DC feature. Now I know that Verizon also has a Direct Connect feature, but I don't know of enough people who have it to convince me to get that on my plan. Also, Verizon also only has 2 phones out currently that support the DC feature, so limits your choices in phones.
  18. And on the contrary... Is it ironic/sad that my EMT instructor taught us to think of "Another One Bites The Dust" to keep the 100bpm in mind.
  19. My thoughts would be to contact medical control and consult with them. If the pt REALLY qualifies for a medevac, defer the decision to med control. Granted pt wishes come into play, it also comes down to what is in the pt's best interests medically.
  20. Well, despite all the arguments, who is to determine what a "serious MOI" is. It is all situational. 1 foot of intrusion for a healthy 18 y/o might not do them in, they are young and vibrant, and can bounce back better/quicker. However, on the flip side, 2 inches of intrusion (or no intrusion at all) might be enough for a frail, brittle, 90 y/o driver in this situation, as there could be enough force to do major damage withouth causing physical damage to the vehicle. Simply put, the MOI was "serious enough" in this case. Thoughts and prayers to all involved.
  21. The incident is still under investigation. During a training exercise, one of Atlanta Airport's 10 ARFF vehicles rolled, injuring several FF. http://cms.firehouse.com/content/article/a...mp;sectionId=46
  22. Whoa....and I thought my setup was a bit over the top. Will post pics in coming days.
  23. Looks like I missed yet another good cooker!!
  24. Seems like one helluva operation!
