  4. Chief, if you are referring to my post, I highly recommend you re-read it. Nowhere in there did I say I had any issues at all with the NYSP. Every incident I have ever run, or personally dealt with the troopers, there was always an understanding. http://www.emtbravo.net/index.php?s=&s...st&p=166313
  5. Last month, I was the IC for an MVA on I-84 involving a NYSP who was struck by an errant vehicle, during a V&T (he was out of his car at the time he got hit). There was a response from NYSP Thruway, NYSP Troop K, and DCSO to the scene. Original dispatch was for a Priority 3 MVA (BLS response in our county). It was not until our first arriving units got on scene we realized the scope of what really was going on. The whole "send one unit to investigate" sure would have pissed a LOT of people off, seeing as it was one of their own, and we arrived without appropriate manpower/resources. http://www.emtbravo.net/index.php?showtopic=29104 NYSP did not put up one single fight when its one of their own who is involved. Not that I blame them, but it cannot be a double standard, just MHO. I have never personally ran into any problems with the NYSP while operating. The guys I deal with while working always seem to be understanding. I have the utmost respect for them, respect their job, but I would always stick to my guns, when it comes to the safety of me, them, the people I am operating with, and the people we are trying to treat.

  7. I also wish my personal best for Steven. I helped work on him when he got into the ER, and he was in pretty bad shape. He had some quite extensive injuries. He has a long road to recovery, and I wish him and his family all the best through this tough time!
  8. *gasp* Is that Turborich trying to moon Bill all the way on the left??
  9. I can't say enough good things about alsfirefighter. He has been an "unofficial" mentor to me, and has always passed along wonderful advice, and phrased it in such a way, that he could be calling you a retard for something you did, but you don't feel bad (either that or just don't know he is callin' you a tard) !! Tom is good people, always willing to lend a hand, and a wealth of information!!
  10. So you've heard, right Anthony??
  11. Jeez Tom, a little drama queen?? Lol, you sure like the limelight eh??
  12. I'll be there so long as it's deemed to still be on!!
  13. Kinda goin' along the lines of what I was tryin' to say, maybe you just said it better!
  14. Well if it would make you feel any better, I could always give you a big hug in the middle of Saints' ER???? I think in addition to what you said, it is also seen as a "meat wagon - you call we haul" service, because of some peoples attitudes, and presentation as such. We all know all it takes is one bad apple to spoil the barrel, and unfortunately in FD/PD/EMS, that is what happens. One FF accused/guilty of being an arsonist, we all are. One careless/carefree EMT/Medic, we're all reckless, one dirty cop, they're all dirty cops. Its a sad state, but that is the world today.
  15. Please try and avoid posting in ALL CAPS. It is considered a form of yelling online, and is distracting. Thank you for your understanding.
  16. Hey Tony, just found out it was your GF's place not but an hour ago. If you need anything, let me know!
  17. Scary to admit, but someone brought this down to the firehouse about a week or so ago. I don't even know what to say about that movie, lol!!
  18. Jeez, that sounds like that was written by a lawyer!!
