I have to agree with Joe C. It is very shameful in the IAFF's decision to support him, all these promises and nothing to back it, amongst other things I will leave out because it will cetainly get this thread deleted.

I hear Boston FD is telling their guys and other locals across America not to march in their parade this year because the city is stating that the past deaths of Warren Payne and Paul Cahill were their own faults. Come on, there are a lot of decisions to be made in a jurisdiction of one square mile.

If you get a group of people together he will teach a class specifically for you. But check his website he may have some dates probably in the spring or summer.

I have to agree you must make things firefighter proof. If you are going into a fire I don't think you are gonna take the time to make sure you pull your straps a certain way. That's nonsense. Any which way you pull your straps they should not rip away from the facepiece. SCOTT should put a recall on these masks for our safety and fix the problem, not place the blame on the firefighter.

I heard this incident on my scanner and it was crazy hearing the officer call for help and then when dispatch tried to raise him he did not answer for a while. I f i was that cop I am sure this nut would have had some iron put in his diet real fast.

I agree with you that they are messing with life safety equipment and thats wrong. Alright I'll give you that they are just marching around but what about incidents like in Boston when two firefighters that were recently killed in a fire were found to have drugs in their system...I'm not playing the paid vs. volly card I am just saying it happens on both sides and there are serious reprocutions on both sides.

Not to knock you but this does happen in the paid departments. This comment is coming from a fellow career member. What happens on St. Patricks Day in the city. Are you not in uniform representing your fire department? Unfortunately this happens in both sides of the F.D. There are repercussions in the vol side of it too like getting kicked out to even being arrested. So don't go firing out comments before you do your research.

Satellite is the way to go never have to worry about things changing there.
