Where is Harrison's tower ladder? Missing in action for 2 months.

It seems that it's the same story in other combo depts.one half either lost interest,or just don't have the time,and the other is left holding all the cards and run short handed and the politicians don't want to compensate for the lack of manpower. They play Russian roulette with the staff and the residents.

Totally illegal, people should learn how to write a set of specs before putting them out to bid.

I guess it's cheaper in the long run to have it's own p.d. then to contract with county. It's all a bed of roses in the beginning we will save you money , but after time the price goes up because know we are in.

So Hawthorne is no longer going to have a ladder?

It's like I said if m.v is relying on mutual aid for every fire they get and departments go in on mutual aid why even discuss adding manpower to their own department ,why spend the money.If nobody goes in on mutual aid who are they gonna use to back up the already short handed on duty crews,the p.d. or the highway workers.They are gonna eventually have to do the right thing.

Maybe the way that neighboring departments could help is stop running on mutual aid.I believe that Yonkers does not go in anymore.I think the mayor and council doesn't address the manpower shortage is they know if their is a job other municipalities will come into m.v.to back city firefighters so why spend money to add staffing.

Hartsdales tower ladder is back in service, and has been for a few months....

Disgusting.... I bet the politticians are nice and comfortable in their offices, and when they go home. But I guess the firefighters are on the bottom of the list.It's just totally uncalled for. Would the higher UPS put up with such conditions? I. Don't think so.

The answer is YES. Saw it respongding this weekend on central ave. In regards to TLS 15 heard it was going to seagrave for extensive work.
