Do the Citizens that pay to have a career fire department want to pay to supplement they're neighbors who don't want to pay for a career department? Does this fit into the equation anywhere?

Maybe there were no interior stairs, leaving them no choice but to extend a ground ladder with a new technique and put a stream from a Hand line through a attack window?

Is the safety issue for the residents of Norwich ct the fact that they're fire department isn't called for mutual aid? Or is it that they're department isn't adequately trained of staffed?

Will they be taking over in Mt Vernon as well? I hear they're looking to make changes there

The Mayor of mt vernon figured out a way to save money. Instead of putting money into his fire budget he uses other town's or city's fire budget. He's ahead of his time and he thanks all.

It was a stretch comparing E82 to spring valley and 6 fires a year. As Far as the building code violations? It sounds pretty bad in spring valley but this sort of thing happens everywhere.

Its obvious to me that the trooper only wanted to help this man. Why he wouldn't want his help is beyond me. Good job he got what he deserved for refusing the troopers help. It does look like the trooper was trying to kick the hat out the way. That hat was making it difficult for the troopers to subdue that guy.

Somebody filming a police interaction could in some cases aid the police against somebody else's edited video. I know if i had video footage that disputed a edited video that made the cops look bad I would give it to them. Thats one of the reasons dash cam video camaras were placed in many patrol cars.

As far as staying back far enough as to not interfere? Who decides whats "far enough"? The cop who might be trying to keep you from filming him? Some cops might think a good distance is three blocks away. Now what?

Times are changing. Whenever there is a budget shortfall the fire department is where they make their cuts.

But isn't mutual aid about helping neighboring departments out when they need help? Thats what I was under the impression it was for.
