Well, Mid June rolls around and it's time for vacation. I had this trip planned for a while. I gotta tell you, I had no intention of shooting any rigs on this last trip. Well, maybe two or three. Turned into a few more. I left the Chateau and headed out to Mount Rushmore. After soaking in the sights, I stopped in the Firehouse Brewery in Rapid City, SD. From there it was down to LA via Denver, and Vegas. My intention was simply to shoot one Los Angeles County Rig. But before I got that, it was Orange County Engine 63 I just happened to roll up on. I headed over to OCFA Station 61, across the street from Knotts Berry Farm. Spied Truck 46 from the street. Took my shots, and took off for the north County. My destination was an hour plus away and made it there in pretty good time. Especially for a guy who doesn't like to sit around twiddling my thumbs in traffic. I arrive in the little area called Pearblossom. LA County Station 79. Paid Engine and Patrol, Volunteer Engine in the back. Engine 79, 2007 KME This was the Engine 79 that Code 3 did a few years back. It was given to the Volunteers when the KME was delivered, 1995 Freightliner. It replaced a 1970's vintage Crown. This was all I really wanted, but the bug bit me. So I ran down to Yorba Linda, home of President Nixon, and a special lady friend of mine. Sorry boys, no pictures of her. But while waiting for her to get ready for a night out, I took some shots of OCFA Engine 32. This was it until I went home. Or so I thought. I headed out to Tempe, Arizona to see another friend of mine. No intentions at all to shoot anything, as evidenced by me driving out with my friends daughter and her boyfriend, and the bf saying, "Hey look, smoke!!" Had to follow, and it was Mesa, Engine 201, and I don't know which Truck. Junkyard fire. Shot taken with the cell. Finished up my trip with a few days on the shore. Back to work, and in between, a little trip to the city of Brotherly Love. First stop, Engine 29, Medic 15, and Rescue 1. Rescue 1 didn't come out too good, and you guys deserve a little better from me. Next stop, Center City and Chinatown. Engine 20 For some reason, I can't reply to my own topic. So I am going to finish up on here. Next stop, the Battleship of the West, Squrt 57. Northbound, Engine 50 and Truck 12. Brand new KME We bid Philadelphia adieu..Next stop, next post, the Silver City Fest, day 1.

I have pix I took at that Meriden Buff Fest, a few from Orange County, and I'm going to Canton, Ohio, and Chicago in two weeks. Once I get back, it's going to be my little summer extravaganza. PS, to anyone from Lake Carmel, Kent, and Patterson viewing this thread. REACH OUT!!! I want to do the Lake Carmel fleet for your website, and I want to get Pattersons new rescue and the Beast from Kent as well.

It's an interesting concept. An Engine that has an elevated waterway for master stream deployment. I'm not sure how often it, or telesqurts get put to use by the departments that have them. There's quite a few departments out there that still use them.

Thank you Seth.

It was discriminatory. Towards intelligent people who actually paid attention in school. I have never seen a dumber test in my entire life.

That's too easy of an option. I wanna know what has his gloves in a twist, and what he thinks we, as members, can do to fix it. Instead of just telling him to pack sand and leave the site.
-
Yaaaay!!!!
-
That doesn't solve the guys issue. I want to know exactly what the problem is, and maybe how it can be rectified.
-
I don't like it either. I enjoyed the discussions. It made for some good conversation.
-
What exactly happened that has you so angry??
-
There are some explorer posts in the area, if I remember right. May I suggest checking the Albany FD website?? If not, I can ask someone I know from that area.
-
22 was out at a job, IIRC.
-
West 110th. 47 Engine with a special call for 14 Truck.
-
Actually, it was 2 in the same day. It's funny, I can remember fires and stuff from years ago, but I can't remember conversations I had with the special lady friend two days ago.
-
The 2nd one was up on 139. The 1st one was up on 110th, that one went out the window. The 2nd one appears to have just been taken out on a stokes through the front door.
-
There were two of these yesterday. Both in Manhattan. I will have further info later.

I missed the cardiac monitor. Nice catch, Goose. It's been 12 years since I did any BLS.
-
I would think as long as proper spinal immobilization and airway maintenance was followed, it seems like a pretty normal accident.
-
Just from first glance, keeping that vest on would make life a lot easier to keep him floating. Very simple treatment. Airway, spinal immobilization, treat any other injuries, transport.

I was only able to make it out for the first day of photos, but unable to make the show. I echo Joe's statement, it's the first time something like this has been done, be a little more understanding. My hat's off to Mike for setting this up. It took a lot of work on his part, and instead of bashing him, maybe you should say thanks for setting it up.

Love em or hate em, the man had brass ones the size of that stadium, which never overshadowed his generosity, which we rarely heard about. RIP Boss. I would say it's the house that George and Jeter built. (PS I am a die hard Mets fan)
