  2. Date: 11-5-08 Time: 02:58 Location: Bear Mountain Bridge Road Frequency: Units Operating: 2131, 2132, 2133, E-230, R-39, MA-23, Mohegan Vac, Cortlandt Medic Description Of Incident: PIAA Car Vs. Tractor Trailer With Extrication Writer: A Toyota Corolla was traveling west on Bear Mt. Bridge Road when it struck a Tractor Trailer heading in the opposite direction in the area of the tollhouse. Driver was trapped in vehicle and had to be extricated by removing the driver’s door and the roof. Mohegan Vac took the Driver to Westchester Medical Center ALS on board. The Tractor Trailer bent its trailers axlel in the accident but driver was un injured.

  5. I could understand that if it was in Rockland County, but the boat was in Westchester
  6. I was on the call. The 3 fire units operating were CVFD, VPFD, and Stony Point FD. We had then people off the boat and were using portable pumps to keep the boat afloat until Sea Tow could get on scene and tow to boat away. The Rockland Sheriff was staying out of the way and just sitting there doing what i assume to be nothing. Then All of a sudden he started demanding that the boat owner be switched to his boat and that he was in charge (Call was on Westchester side of the river) and ordering the fireboats off scene. The CVFD Deputy chief that was handling operations argued with him until he was threatened with arrest. I pulled the CFVD marine unit off the scene after that to avoid the situation from escalating further.
  7. Not really we programed all of our firefighters portables to only have Westchester FG7 so we always know what channel they are on regardless of the county.
  8. We actually use the Minitor V Pagers and leave it on the D selection (silent scan) and it will go off for either county. And yes it sucks trying to remember which number to use at 3 in the morning. In addition we give status updates to both counties when we are operating in westchester.
