  5. don't make it sound like we have done it for years, we do a burn box every year. this was the 1st year testing a sprinklered box vs. non-sprinklered box. DCC does a lot of nice tests, which i am glad to see. A big part of that goes to the support from Sandy Williams from Williams Lumber, a former DC County Car and lover of the fire service.

  14. you guys know more than me about it, but i was just confused. while i agree i would like to have the closest FD dispatched to my house if it was on fire like JHK does for your house even though you live in Millbrook, i would have just assumed Millbrook would have been on the CAD assignment, especially since if there wasn't the agreement with JHK, it would have been Millbrook's call. thanx for the info though
  15. i know about the MFD/JHK contract agreement. but why didn't 911 put Millbrook on the assignment after mutual aid companies were added? Especially if it is actually in the Town of Washington, as it was. Why add Pawling, Wassaic, and Amenia and not Millbrook. I guess DC-911 just made a blunder.
  16. Why wasn't Millbrook on the alarm? It is right on Millbrook's border. Anyone know?

There is a carnival starting tomorrow night. Wed - Sat Night - MIllbrook is the place to be! Side note, Millbrook turns 100 years old this year! HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL THERE!
  19. to go from one end of my district to the other, and then back home, i use atleast a gallon of gas. now not every call is at the 2 farthest points, but i think everyone gets the idea. Millbrook FD in Dutchess COunty covers 62 square miles. $500 would definatley be a start, since i went on 228 calls last year, combined with drills and training, i definately used over $500 forth of fuel. HOPE IT PASSES!
