Well it's finally here after about 2 years of work. 2011 Seagrave Rescue/Pumper 1000gal tank, 1500 GPM pump, 15K Generator, Light Tower, Lukas Rescue Tools, 1800' of 5", 500' 2 1/2" 2 1 3/4" and 1 2" pre-connect. There will be a dedication/open house for the Rescue and new Chiefs vehicle in November, Invite Flyers will go out next week but all are welcome.

I agree that the Diesel engines last longer than the gas engines but with the exception of the paid service who keeps their ambulances long enough for it to matter. Today’s gas engines will last at least 100k and in my opinion cost less to maintain. The oil changes are half the cost and there’s one thing you don’t have to worry about, if you have a Ford which most are, the turbo’s are a nightmare anymore and they aren’t cheap to replace.

The current 21-6-1 will become 21-6-2. It will still have a complete set of tools as a backup rescue, It will be second due to all accidents. Its primary use will be more of a technical rescue having our mountain packs and water rescue suits. It will also do all traffic control calls, pump outs and wires calls

The final inspection is next week. The truck will be a Rescue/Pumper filling the shoes of both our old source rig and rescue which we've out grown. Truck has a 1000gal tank with a 1500GPM pump, light tower and 2 full sets of Hurst tools
