We had a demo the other day with a Ventis and I really like how easy it was to use, 2 buttons control everything. At work I have 2 MSA Altair's and I am by no means impressed with them at all. Less than 1 year old and 1 has a bad O2 sensor already and there is always problems re-calibrating them. We were told the Scott detectors other than the Mini SA’s are not that good either but I haven’t seen those yet.

Now that we're all in different buildings I don't think there ever will be another. Half of building 6 where they used to have it in will be comming down soon.

I know nothing about helicopters so please don't think this is a stupid question but where on the helicopter could a bird strike affect it. Other than going thru the windshield, I would think the rotors would make bird jerky out of that thing

There are 3 tank cars total the fire brigade has. All have 10,000 gallons of water and high volume pumps. They are kept in Harmon, Brewster and Stanford. The key with these tank cars is to request them as soon as you think you may need them. Keep in mind the crew has to hitch these up and they have a daily inspection before they go out on the rail so it could take a little while
