So 31 is getting a rearmount....no more tiller....was this because of the 2 drivers needed or was it just time to go with a rearmount......I would imagine it will be like Ossinings KME......

Greetings all.....here are a few pics of the East Fishkill Snorkel when it was in service in Elmont on Long Island. Can someone give me info on where the tree trim comapny is that owns this rig now...I would do a road trip to take some pics of it now....any info would be appreciated. How does Nyack run, do the rigs wait for a crew of 3-5 or do they go driver only or with 2 and members go to scene in private autos? As always thanks for the info....

Can one of the Rockland guys tell me if the station they share with hook n ladder 2 is one building shared by both companies.....it looked like there was a wall that spilt the 2 sides with separate entrances with each company having a separate side of the house...thanks....

gretings all...I was a member of the code 3 club almost since the begining but when my membership expired in early 2006 I never re-upped....actually I dont remember getting a notice that my membership was going to expire...untill I noticed my card over the summer had expired, anyway....one of the last things I remeber being very interested in was seing some early pre production models of 1960 era American laFrance tillers in the newsletter they sent out. Anyone have any news about how this model is coming along or if it is still on the drawing board. I was not aware of the troubles code 3 is or were having untill I started reading these threads here........as always thanks guys.

Another board someone from fdny was saying that he heard the city is inking a deal with Ferrara for 79 engines over a 4 year period....anyone else hear this?

I posted this elswhere in a different thread but it deserves its own thread.....Rye is getting a new Ladder 26 to replace the tiller rig.....my question is, is this the vollie ladder...or how are the rigs and companies assigned manpower? Are there dedicated volunteer companies and rigs, or does each rig have a paid crew? Do the vollies respond to the scene in personal vehicles or do they respond with dedicated apparatus? Also mutual aide calls and standbys (like covering for dept. dinners elswhere) do the paid guys go out of district or is that covered by volunteer crews?...as always thanks for the answers guys stay safe.....

This must be new for 07..I dont think it's a 06 color...also the wheel well moldings look as if it may be a sport model or something....maybe a special color for the sport models...sometimes they do this...any other info????? It is sharp looking.....
