  1. The bid was for 1 and only 1 field comm unit on a Marauder 2 chassis
  2. one would think that...
  3. what happened to the christmas tree farm? did all the rigs get sold off?
  4. your pictures blurred because the camera fogged. when you shoot down south in the humidity you need to take the camera out of the air conditioning well in advance of going out shooting. the same thing happened to me twice, once in Ocean City, once in James City, VA. I went right from the hotel to outside in the heat/humidity, and everything fogged up.
  5. their area is so tough now. there was a great group of guys working that day.
  6. you must have caught 23 literally minutes after we did them, same spot and everything!
  7. the ALF engine wasnt at their "firehouse" on Monday when I went looking for it. the other two were though
  8. its visible on google earth, in the spot it sits in the photos on ebay. hopefully it wont get scrapped.
  9. why does the maltese have NKFD on it, instead of NHFD?
  10. and to scrap it would be a shame, especially since they now can do one on a new single axle chassis. Even if Mount Vernon doesnt use it, someone else would.
  11. they'll go for good prices, but you gotta go and pick them up in Auburn, NY. they dont ship.
  12. two words... Mary Jo now she can finally rest in peace
  13. shot it the other day. thanks to the brothers that helped us out!
  14. shore line receiver... this one had it, 11 didnt!
  15. ok, now that you clue'd me in, its Terryville E5A-4-2. there's one difference between the two rigs. see if you can find it. lol.
  16. wow! any idea on when it will be delivered?
  17. what is that black over red aerial at the end in the second to last dealer pic?
  18. ummm, its not a Former FDNY rig. for one, its a 4 door conversion kit on it, not a factory 4 door rig, like FDNY, East Meadow and Westbury(that one is owned by a prvate owner in PA). it might have been done by Ranger, its got those "crooked" paddle handles like they used to install. second, its got a horizontal pump handles, indicative of a hale pump? they have not been on an FDNY rig since I believe 1965. FDNY used pullout handles on their CF's. there are about 6 other factory installed things from that pic which show its not from FDNY if its got the original horn button, it will tell you where it came from. if you get the serial number from the drivers door plate or the pump panel I will tell you where it came from.
  19. E253, E225 and E155 also have them already. E151, E206, E44, E266, E257, E152, E301, E326, E43, E53, E63 & E8's new rigs are all in the area. I have seen most of these being pump tested at Local 825 off the turnpike either driving by there, or while I was at classes there.
  20. since a pic has been posted, I dont feel like I'm letting the cat out of the bag. we stopped in on Sunday after visiting with Briarcliff Manor. the Brothers were nice enough to come back to the firehouse, even though they were driver training, and stopped for a couple of quick pics. It is a really nice rig, and we hope to get the "finish" shots as soon as the rig is completed.
  21. ALL Images Posted By Public Safety Collectibles Are Property Of John P. Maguire And May NOT Be Copied, Duplicated Or Used Without Permission Of The Photographer. if thats the case then you shouldnt be posting them here either, since you didnt take the vast majority(probably every apparatus photo anyway) of pictures that you are posting on these forums. didya? Most are Kelters or Calderones, et al..... and I know you werent there when the 84CF a few pics above was shot, since I pulled it out for them...its on the apron of my house.
  22. he is very lucky he did not get sucked down that hole!
  23. I found this on ebay, I have it as Ex-Tarrytown Engine 76, as lon as the seller provided the right serial #. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_Commercial...d=p4506.c0.m245
