  1. there's much more to this than what was in the paper. much more. the rigs in question are no frills engines. thats all I will say on a public forum.
  2. it was a pursuit.
  3. can't tell without the serial #. DM(Dumper/Mixer) models can be offset but also come in the R configuration. U's are all offset. Mike
  4. It is a Crane Carrier COE. not in production anymore... http://www.cranecarrier.com/images/coe_lg.jpg
  5. Mount Freedom was the second to last one built. We shot both of them a couple of weeks ago. I have to post them on the site, but I scanned them last night. here are 4 of them.
  6. The last Concorde built was delivered a couple of weeks ago to Seaside Park, NJ. They were told that was the last one that wll ever be built.
  7. The last Concorde built was delivered a couple of weeks ago to Seaside Park, NJ. They were told that was the last one that wll ever be built.
  8. there are a LOT of fire companies in PA that do this for a small donation to the company.
  9. that video is at least 3 years old. at the time, that horse was beaten to death on the Watch Desk!
  10. its already in service in North Jersey. Union and Morris County dept's have the components of the system.
  11. The FWD's are as follows: Riverdale, MD Great Neck, NY (recently sold to a dept. in Texas-Bridgeport I think it was) Monroe Twp., NJ Hartsdale, NY Seth, can you take a look at the Hartsdale rig for me? There's a plate in the electrical component compartment on the officers side with the Aerialscope serial number. I have both Hartsdale and Monroe Twp. with #72047. It was probably an error at the factory, but if you can check it... Edison, NJ Willingboro, NJ these are FWD/Seagrave's Kentland was a refurb with an FWD cab. Chelsea, MA & Brockton MA are both FWD's I have no serial info on them and FDNY had/has 19 of them. Mike
  12. Maywood has a very tired Duplex Glider kit engine that is out of service, leaving them with one engine and their tower. They had borrowed the ex-Chapel Oaks MD E-1 that the County Fire Academy bought, but now they have a Real Rig! when they get it lettered up I'll get some shots of it. I work next town over with several of their members.
  13. If Ford had made a wagon like that from the factory they probably would have sold a bunch of them!
  14. Anyone from Valhalla on the board? I'd like to stop in tomorrow morning and get some shots of the newer ALF pumper and the ALF rescue. let me know. my cell is 201-394-8112. thanks Mike
  15. Last I heard it was a mini pumper.
  16. its good if you want to travel. both job openings are for worldwide service, not for the Fire Brigate in NYC. they used to bring their rig up to the BC Fire Academy every June, but they havent in at least 5 years. its the only private location rig in NYC that I havent shot.
  17. you can also get a fire truck made from them! the ones from Ocala!
  18. Its Fremont, California.
  19. the only platform they have is a tailgate. the first 2 high rise units(basically identical units that were destroyed on 9/11) had ramps to get in the back of the truck, and they were a little steep to use safely. Mike
  20. they did build 5, but FDNY only ordered 3. one was used on Third Watch, the other toured the country. the next order for pumpers will be VERY interesting.
  21. Roslyn Highlands, NY has 2 Seagrave P75 Aerials with dual ladder racks.
  22. Red Bank doesnt have the tiller anymore. Ocean Beach has a 75' ALF/LTI. Ocean Grove used to have a tiller, it was replaced by a Seagrave 2 years ago. Oaklyn still has the tiller. Mike
  23. The rig that was buried in suds was Wallington's ladder. it was dish soap, not foam.
  24. there are 2 more... L102 and L116. Mike
  25. Hey all, If anyone from Yorktown Heights can hook me up, I would like to come up on Thursday morning to shoot the new rig for my website. just shoot me an email or a PM. thanks! Mike Martinelli www.fdnytrucks.com
