Thanks for the help I looked at the job from Mt.Kisco and it showed the T/L - 14 and a M/A truck and not ladder 43.
-
You are correct with rescue co 2 and the first real fire truck the be red and white was TL-85 on SI. you win 1 beer.
-
Ok buffs get this one right What year and what company and what kind of rig was the first red/white rig placed in service in the FDNY.
-
FDNY never had any yellow ladder trucks in its history. I do beleave the yellow ladder at camp smith was an old yonkers rig TL-71 was up at the camp for a while after it was removed from service as a spare.

You have to have an address in the town you want to get on. You can take the state test for all area's that you check off (state wide) if you want. It is not as easy as some say. You also must not pass the age of 35 or you will not be hired as that is state law. Hope this helps you let me know if you need more info. You would be better off going to maryland or virgina to get on th job.

I remember Harrison had a 65? tiller (L-24) engine 12 was an open cab fitted with a top and engine 10 was a seagrave (corgi model now) i do not recall the years of the engine's.

I think e-263 had the Yellow ALF for a while also.

I do recall that night it was cold and NHRF&R had a fire bug running around the streets that night he had set a 3 alarm fire in union city and 5 blocks away a 2nd 3rd alarm fire in union city then to top it off was the 5th ++ alarm in the Furniture store and warehouse that you are talking about alot of m/a in the area from all over the 5th alarm was a full 1st alarm from FDNY and alot of east bergen m/a towns. I also think that Jersey City had some work of they own. Hope this helps. I think the fdny puts a box out for m/a and they put what ever companies on the ticket they can find or by what ever the citywide tour chief say's.

Did FDNY put any fire units on the island or do they take the ferry to the island if and when they have a call. I do know the Gov FD is gone off the island. Any info please post it Thank You
-
Just was wondering if it is possible to have a tone sound when someone post a new fire this way if you are in a different topic you can jump to the fire post. Great job on the site it looks and works great. Happy Holidays to all
-
(doubtful) will hold means that the fire ground is active and the o/i/c may need more manpower and equipment to control the fire.
-
I like the blue background can we keep it that way. Great job keep with the site.
-
That would be 154.445 with the call sign of KED411 Cliffside park fire dept. (bergen co) .
-
Here found this I may help with some info www.aviation3.com/news.php

If it is that new i would call the place you got it from let them make a ticket for repair/replacement and have it fixed that way the radio may a have short in it and it will kill the bat in 15 - 20 mins. So let them check the radio for you. The hi-low setting has nothing to do with it .

I must ask why are you puting box 8369 for the west ham beach fd that is well over 10 miles away from the volly house. That maybe the box for the FDNY*EMS bldg but not WHBFD> West Hamilton = 2042 163 AVE & 104 ST & 8369 USCG BERTH FT TOTTEN ARMY PIER Queens
-
I was a member at WHBFD a few years ago and the City unit's get along very well with whbfd e-331 / l-173 would always stop by the firehouse. At calls they never held the vollies back it always worked well.
-
The rockaway (breezy point area) the FDNY box for that whole are is Box 8300 West Hamilton Beach (Howard beach) FDNY box I/F/O the fire house is queens box 2042. And yes whbfd and broad channel have fdny printers in the fire houses WHBFD is linked the E-331 / L-173 Broad channel is Linked to E-266. Sorry thats the best i can do.

What I was asking if the Island has a staffed company at all times on it by FDNY as i know the coast guard department was closed well over a year or so ago. When FDNY took over the Island they had a unit with 1 capt 3 lts and 10 ff's as a staffed unit is it the same or did they put a full company in yet.
