  2. Like the good old days all RED back to the way it was. A good firefighter does not need all the bells and whisles just a good working engine or ladder.

  14. Hey capt 415 maybe you should back up with kicking any dept on the forum if you dont like them then say nothing at all about them. FDMV may not have the manpower they should have but that is not the members fault they do what they can with what they have. So back up and look in the miror maybe you are not so great.
  15. I have scene system in rescue trucks that is a very nice tool to have but i like the idea of 2 or 3 town going together and getting a bread truck of the new thing a trailer and use that as a SCBA fill station it can be stationed at each station on a month by month system and can be a good resource for all in the area. just my 2 cents.
  16. If you leave your car in gear (manual trns) the remote starter will not work as the clutch is not engaged so the car will not start it will try but it will not turn over. so this would be a waste of your money.
  17. We use the knox system in Bogota NJ we made it a town ordinance and gave to places 1 year to comply if not it would be a violation on the next year fire inspection with a fine if not abbated by ordering the knox system and we have to order forms in the office and had to be signed by someone in the office. Then the knox company would advise us as soon as someone order one for our town. As far as the release box on trucks our Ladder 1 has a box and engine 2 has it it works on the main fire channel with a DTMF tone to release the key. If any one would like a copy of the plan we wrote up to give the town please let me know and I will email you a copy asap as I have it on my PC.
  18. Yonkers never had a snorkle Tower ladder (s) yes. Mt. Vernon Snorkle maybe went to yonkers 3 times the most.
  19. I would say no to that as FDNY already had enclosed cab rigs by 1975 the last not enclosed (5 man cab) was the squirt at 70 engine on city island that had apump on it. I know tl had the open crew area and so did the satt units.
  20. the Paterson T/L is that the old Mt.Kisco truck i may be wrong please let me know or did they get a new one
  21. The LODI FD in bergen co NJ has a hose reel truck for the ldh. you may try fdnytrucks.com for a pic of not sure if he has it.
  22. I do beleave the west harrison truck is now Mt. Vernons and Greenville also had a mack/baker t/l as T/L-4 before that got the first ladder 4 e-one 110ft. truck.
  23. No problem I had a good friend that was a 306 that is how i know the rig deal. and a thanx to chief fitz for back up on the info.
  24. But that engine you call (306) was engine (314) befor it was 306. e-6 had that sutphen engine then the big trade so it was 314 before it was 306. A blast from the past in rig history.
  25. How many truck co"s do they have in town and what are they. thanks
