  1. The pic looks good nice engines and squad who is going to get the engine without the stang gun (1st on the left) no pre pipe stang. Or maybe not a yonkers rig. Well good luck with them they look great.
  2. If you look at some companies in the city that would be get a quint it would be off the bat. E70/L53 - E329- E63/L39 not saying it should happen but they have looked at this no that long ago. Get an 8 man cab for the quints thats what I was saying put 8 guys in a house and not 10 with the 10-14 engine.

  8. FYI engine 86 is a mack cf-600 rig that moviecar got the Toms River FD co.2 a few years ago.
  9. Many towns in NJ use the T/S very big thing in Essex Co but they have them in Bergen / Hudson Co's also.
  10. The police cars and ambulances are rented from a company in Lyndhurst NJ called Movie cars (www.moviecars.com) the E-one engine was thru them as well. That company does 80% of the autos used in movie and tv shots in the area. Hope this helps. Also the rigs used in the first few shows of Rescue Me were from the Metropolitain Fire Association.   17. In my front yard in Fort Lee NJ I have 26" and on the side with the drift about 39". When is July 4th again.
  18. Fort Lee NJ just replaced the last of the Hahn apparatus they had it was FL-5 engine 5 out of fire company # 1 at 1 point they had 3 inservice fl-2 and fl-6 both replace with in the last 5 years.
  19. In my area of Bergen Co. NJ all Engine Co's use black helmets and black fronts , Truck/Ladder some depts use Red helmets and red fronts but some use the black helmets adn red fronts. Rescue co use black helmet and Blue fronts. and the new thing out here is the squad they use black helmets and yellow fronts. just about all ems units use blue helmet and officers in ems use the white helmets. and for the aux/jr firefighters they get yellow helmet. and any company probies get the orange fronts on the helmet of that company.

E-307, E-289, E-291, E-319; L-138, L-140; E-324/S-4; B-49 (Safety), B-28 (ComCord), Rescue B/C, Safety B/C, Field Comm. 1, Tac 1 0713hrs- S/C additional Tower Ladder (117) 0716hrs- Div. 15 transmitting the 3rd Alarm. (2) L/S/O with Tower Ladders being set up on all (4) sides. Members being withdrawn from building and setting up an exterior attack. E-259, E-316, E-263, E-271; L-116; B-35, B-52 (Staging); MSU 1 0717hrs- S/C an additional Tower Ladder (135). Staging area will be 69th St X 51st Ave 0729hrs- Div. 14 with progress report (2) Tower Ladders in operation, setting up (2) additional. (3) H/L's in operation. Setting up (1) multi-versal I/F/O. Searches delayed. 0756hrs- Field Comm rpts conditions remain the same. Exterior operations with a partial collapse of the roof. D/W/H. 0804hrs- Div. 14 transmitting 4th Alarm. Also S/C additional B/C for Staging. E-312, E-262, E-206, E-286; L-151, L-128; B-50 0843hrs- Car 4H rpts shutting down exterior lines. Co's checking for pockets of fire. Extension to Exp. 2 has been extinguished.
  21. The color Green in FDNY is for the Marine units. Most EMS members helmet are Orange in NYC but alot of areas use the Blue helmet for EMS. at least in my area just over the bridge.

Statement of the New York Board of Fire Underwriters January 31, 2006 Today, the organizations entitled to vote at the 2006 Biennial Meeting of the New York Board of Fire Underwriters voted to no longer sustain the New York Fire Patrol. Also at the Biennial Meeting, these organizations adopted a resolution charging the board of directors of the New York Board of Fire Underwriters to carry out “in a lawful and orderly manner” the decision to no longer sustain the New York Fire Patrol. The Board of directors will strive to keep the affected constituencies informed as to the process. RESOLUTION (Following a Vote Not to Sustain the Fire Patrol) WHEREAS, at this time, it being the sense of a majority of the organizations duly represented and voting at this Biennial Meeting that the New York Board of Fire Underwriters (the “NYBFU”) should, in an orderly and lawful manner, as soon as reasonably practicable no longer sustain the NYBFU Fire Patrol. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT: RESOLVED, that the Board of Directors of the NYBFU (the “Board of Directors”) be charged, and the Board of Directors hereby is charged, with (a) carrying out, in a lawful and orderly manner, the decision of the Biennial Meeting not to sustain the Fire Patrol; and ( following the completion of the matters set forth in clause (a) above, with returning to each organization that has paid any assessment for the year 2006 in respect of the Fire Patrol such organization’s pro rata share of such unspent assessment that is held by the NYBFU at such time. Some members report it may be six months before they close down will update when info is relayed.
