The city of Yonkers has a plan on how and what will be on all of the trucks they buy and use. These guy's know what they are doing so why say what you would like on a fire truck that you have nothing to do with. This area was to ask the status of the rig's not how they should be. If you would like to add stuff to trucks and put more lights on it then become some type of an offical of a department and or a town/city then you can put what ever you want on your trucks. Let the department do what it has to do they have done a great job so far without anyone's help. Just my 2 cents. Chris

Rich I do recall some people talking about that when I was in HFD I'm not sure if it was HFD truck or a M/A truck. Maybe Dino can find out the info. I know that truck was fun to driver front and back. Chris

I have to agree 100% with you I will not renew my membership now that we dont get a free truck. I do beleave that code 3 is on the way out they keep using the same old molds just change the numbers. They may want to try go back to the old code 3 days. Start making some models that people are asking for. I think you will see corgi pass by code 3 this year. Just my 2 cent's. Chris

For the most part you will find them on a curved area so drivers will be aware of the red light. This is from a Highway cop and a DOT worker. But who knows. Chris

I would think with the way they make computers with tv and fm/am and now sattalite radio's on the web. You will be able to plug into the pc with a receiver card for scanning. Just a pipe dream I'm sure but it sounds good. Chris

Dino this is the guy who now has the truck and some info he provide. Do you have any old pic's from when it was in service maybe someone has some if you do please send a copy to the new owner as he is looking to restore the truck ALF Truck #7785 is resting comfortably in my hangar in Spring City, TN. I bought it from the guy in Canton several years ago, and shipped it here. Drove it a couple of times (what a blast!), and have since stored it until I have time to restore. There's a picture of us backing it onto the trailer for shipping at http://www.joistdesign.com/firetruck.jpg That's me driving tiller. Feel free to pass this on to the previous owners. I'd love to get any additional information or pictures they might have, and they're welcome to visit or contact me. Phil Hodge 630 Pegasus Dr Spring City, TN 37381 phil@joistdesign.com

Ok I hope this is in the right forum area. Let see what we can start here are 2 photo's of a old FDMV retirement badge. Very nice badge.

From what I was told those pic's are from 1980's and yes it did drive on it's own power. The guy in the pic's and his wife drove it home (he had the tiller seat). Dino see if you can ask Pat M. he has old pic's and lots of history.
