Date: 5-22-2008 Time: 14:50 Location: GW Bridge- NJ side Frequencies: Many Units Operating: NYPD Aviation, Harbor Launch 39; FDNY Marine 1; Yonkers Police Marine Unit Description Of Incident: 1 Worker fell from the bridge on the NY side into the water. FD / PD marine unit's searching the water with avation overhead searching as well. At 15:05 Hrs. Batt 13 reports that NYPD Avation has recovered the body of the worker in the water. Body removed and transported to the NY side to be transported to NYPH Columbia Hospital to be pronounced. Writer: CPAGE 1505hrs- NYPD Air Sea Rescue deployed divers who removed the victim in the basket to the helicopter, rpts will be going to Jacobi. 1510hrs- NYPD Harbor Launch 39 has (2) divers removed from water.

  3. It is not so easy to drive the fork through the door. But I was just playing around with a training door and I just tried a Boston rake and that works very well. I do agree that the square can be a bit of a pain for just 1 use. But try the Boston Rake I like it. Chris

  7. Eyewitness NewsBROOKLYN -- A teenage girl was struck by an ambulance while crossing an intersection in the Midwood section of Brooklyn this morning. The 15-year-old girl was struck at the intersection of Coney Island Avenue and Avenue K just after 8:30 a.m. The girl was hit by an ambulance operated by New York Presbyterian, according to police. Emergency workers from the ambulance scooped up the girl's body and rushed her to Kings County Hospital, where she is listed in stable condition. as per the news cast she is alive and in stable condition...

  13. There will be a flight of two (2) F-16's coming up the Hudson River from the Battery to the G.W. Bridge and turn and head back down the river. They should be flying at 5500 feet. This is a media event celebrating the One Millionth Sortie in support of the Global war on Terrorism. They will more then likly fly a bit north of the bridge and turn around. Chris

  16. Today at my job we had Take our kids to work day so I made a few phone calls and we had FDNY Ladder 36 show up and talk to the kids and show off the truck. We also had NYPD ESU Truck 2 come up and they show the kids all the great stuff they have. And we had two of our busses as well. I just want to say thanks to the Captain and the boys from L-36 and the guy's from ESU truck 2 for the greatdisplay they put on. THANK AGAIN guys. Ladder 36 to the roof

A 20 year old EMT named Bonnie Ames was on duty with Regional EMS in Nyack (Ray Florida is the boss for those that know him) She was involved in an MVA she has been critical hurt, she has lost her arm from the shoulder down and now may have a severed C-5. EMS night at Shea this year is May 13th and all funds made by the event are being donated to her fund.
