I saw a fire boat going north around that time in the Hudson just north of the GW bridge. It may have been an FDNY boat or one of the Jersey boats ie, North Hudson or Jersey City FD. I think it is a good thing that we have the boats that are now out there for the use. It was hard when it was only the FDNY that had the boats on the river and most of the time it was an hour or more for the ETA. Good job by all Thanks for keeping the waters safe.

We have a lot of this in the north part of Bergen Co NJ and Passaic Co when they do catch them they bring them back to the woods up in Sussex Co. up by Vernon. But the more people move into the wood and build new homes the bears just are looking for food and a place to live. Just like we do so people should be a bit more aware of the problem of big animals in the urban/suburben area's.

I know at the Hospital that I work at we have a large room just for bulbs and we have them removed by a company every 3 months. But we do this for types of items, old CPU,Batteries , ect.

I saw that same rig go onto Randall's Island last week. I know that the DEP has an office and big lot next to the rock.

Just look at any Long Island news paper it happens all the time out on LI. South Jersey has a good amount of this as well with people get on the Parkway.

This is just a few people that have no clue and use the wrong words. Every career firefighter must go through the same training not just driver training. Here in New Jersey a career ff and a volly ff goes through the same training we have FF I , FF II, FF III carrer guy's do FF I and FF II in the acadamy. Must of the volunteers get the same classes just at a time they can do. We also have a program in bergen co that a Volunteer can get FF I in 5 weeks as they go 5 days a week 8x4 and yes they are in the same class with the career brothers. Chris

Ok I read the first dept. order (6-5-2) it said that F.F. Dennis Smith passed away is this the same D. Smith who did reprt from Engine Co. 82 and all the other books.

I can tell you they know where every NYPH ambulance is at all times. I know one of the unit's PAR is upper Manhattan (Inwood) they had to go over the 225 st and Broadway bridge into the Bronx as soon as they got into the Bronx they got hit with bronx jobs.
