  1. The way calls come in to dispatch and what they actually are can be very differ rant and need als. To say a medic shouldn't be send to a so called cut and dry bls call and it goes bad then it has a trickle effect just saying
  2. How can an agency just say we are suspending service with no back up in place ? It sounds illegal to me
  3. It's a growing problem throughout the county yes some agencies can't justify the cost because of the call volume
  4. thoughts and prayers go out to all the families and friends of fallen police officers its been a horrible start for the year for law enforcement
  5. I've been a member of the croton falls fire dept as a ff/emt from 2001 to present time and worked volunteer ems for 10 yrs.
  6. although i'm not involved in ems anymore I feel that a vac line officer should have a certain amount of time as an emt. Too many times people get a title and drop the ball on keeping there skills in check
  7. Don't read into the questions and go over old tests you took in class. Know number for vital signs CPR Burns. Also patient Assesment CUPS, SAMPLE and all the other abbreviations you were taught in class. Take your time. You can Do it! Good Luck
  8. From my personal experiance, I feel the CME Program is worht it because it allows you to do all of your stuff over three years and not squeeze it all into a 6 week class. I also think it allows you to keep up on skills that sometimes don't get used often.
  9. Headblocks and velcro straps work best. Tape is used if needed
