Stat Ground is still going. Right from the inside from someone(me) who works there. Transcare provides an ambulance, emt and paramedic. WMC provides the nurses and fellows. For a transport, its a crew of emt, medic, and usually 2 nurses. We only do Critical care neonatal and peds transports. Right now we ride around in a strandard box ambulance. You will soon see a LARGE international type ambulance. I believe its out getting painted up.

Its a great idea if the county wanted to come up with money. Even make two small rehab buses out of the minis. Operators of these vechiles could of course be a group of volunteers. Get a team leader or two and then alot of volunteers. Consisting of different levels of care. That these rehab units work along with the on-scene EMS. The units would be called out be the IC

All comes down to manpower. A department can have all the best tools, nozzles, hoses, and blankets on their trucks, but if you dont have the manpower to use them it does nobody any good. Some departments probably would be at a 2nd alarm or so before getting the first line streched.
