Somehow, the Jeep Rubicon "Brute" pickup-style truck passed under my radar...I've never seen one until I recently passed by a Jeep dealership. The Jeep is converted by American Expedition Vehicles to add the bed and add a ton of cool options and features, including a HEMI V-8 with 475HP, giving it 465 ft/lbs of torque. Other available options are the wheels/tires (as shown), premium bumper with Baja-style lights and Warn Winch, and snorkel for fording through water. http://www.aev-conversions.com/vehicles/brute-double-cab Would make an excellent vehicle to convert into a brush truck!

Heck, to be a Lifeguard for the City Of New Rochelle you don't even have to be a "strong swimmer" as one of it's requirements! It doesn't even require a swimming test! http://www.newrochelleny.com/DocumentCenter/Home/View/834 But could New Rochelle make it a requirement of their academy?

I thought this cab would be a stainless steel split cab, to complete with KME, Ferrara, and Seagrave for FDNY contracts. Anyways, this is the first time I'm hearing a raised roof being called a "Cathedral Ceiling". Seems like a double edged sword. It does let you stand up and get situated before you exit the cab without having to duck and crawl out for the bigger guys, but there are some that take advantage of it. And it seems the industry trend is more room in the cab. I've very interested in seeing how Pierce makes more room in the cab. A "catherdral ceiling can also be used to turn the cab into not only a place to be seated for a response, but a place to operate during a response, such as a command post, which is popular with chassis that are used for rescue trucks: (Spartan) And even FDNY spec's raised roofs now: (Seagrave)

Is this for PD or FD? Yonkers has a Kenworth T440 Extended Cab / Hackney CBRNE Response vehicle with a 25 foot, 8 compartment body on order, with delivery expected in May. Will have full length "coffin" compartments on the roof, and a command center at the rear of the body. Will also be equipped with a Wil-Burt Night Scan light tower and camera tower.
