That's AWESOME! I can't wait until the official announcment from jetBlue, so I can be on the inuagral flight out of HPN! I'm sure the executives of jetBlue are happy about this as well...since many of them live in Darien and New Caanan

And I can't forget about Tower Ladder 21, a 1993 Pierce Arrow 100', formerly known as Quint 2 [attachmentid=1890]

Just wondering how many agencies have "Codes Of Conduct" that their address their members behavior and actions? What is the defintion of a "Code Of Conduct", and do you feel these are good or bad?
-
The water intoxication issue came to national public attention just a few years ago, after a couple of runners competing in the Boston Marathon died from water intoxication from over-hydrating. Some of these radio stations go too far with their "stunts". Hopefully, this will set a precedent for this nonsense to stop.

There's white stuff falling here in Hartsdale as well!!! It's just as unfamiliar to me as the orange stuff!

I think it should to an extent....if a member is going to represent themselves and affiliate themselves with a specific agency. For example, look at some of the MySpace pages, that's where a Code Of Conduct should come into play. However, I don't feel members should be censored by a Code Of Conduct on forums such as this, given they act appropriately and professionally. There is much to learn from others. A Code Of Conduct should be a guideline for a members behavior, however it should not be used to dictate a members life.

His prices are extremly reasonable, and he will work to fit into your departments budget. So call Mike, his number is 914-760-1784. I took this photo yesterday (1-12-06) of Rye FD's headquarters, which has undergone a massive, 2 year renovation and restoration project. Rye FD is expected to be in by the end of the month (tentative). Can one of the Rye guys tell us what apparatus is stationed there? [attachmentid=1869]

Today, among my travels, I went to Bethel, CT to shoot some of their apparatus. Special thanks to EMTBravo members CHIEFPHIL and nickcabral for arranging and making these photos happen. Bethel FD and Stony Hill FD both have some really nice apparatus. (Note Bethel FD and Stony Hill FD are seperate FD's located in the Town Of Bethel, CT, which is adjacent to Danbury and located of I-84) Here are the photos from today: http://emtbravophotos.com/SpecFeat/Bethel.html And here's a preview. This is Bethel FD's beautiful 2006 Mack Granite/4 Guys Tanker: [attachmentid=1878] Bethel is a cool town. I'd like to live in that area oneday.

Here's Bethel's 1977 Sutphen Tower Ladder. Like other Bethel apparatus, this has an interesting history behind it....CHIEFPHIL, would you mind giving us the history? [attachmentid=1880]

According to B&H and Tamron USA Corporate Offices, the TENTATIVE release is March '07. However, I get the feeling it's going to be much later then that...

BEAUTIFUL shot Tommy!!!!!

Dobbs Ferry's slopeside is a Lifeline, which is a similar design. Not very common too, but they look great, especially Santa Monica FD's. Here's a Braun "slopeside" (Does anyone remember what the actual model name was??) This one served Greenburgh Police EMS for many years, and now serves the PD's Sign Division. This photo was taken by me yesterday. [attachmentid=1879]

Special thanks to JTCamp for his awesome photos of the new Sleepy Hollow Engine 85. They're posted here: http://www.emtbravophotos.com/NewDeliveries/Engine85.html (Photos By JTCamp) This engine is BEAUTIFUL! I REALLY like it. Pierce puts out some nice apparatus! And great shots by JT as well. Hopefully, I will get invited over soon as well to shoot it.

WOW! Looks GREAT, thanks for sharing the photos! Can't wait to see the finished product. Will the entire Spring Valley fleet be going to this color eventually?

Through a flyer that's up at DES, I learned that the Elmsford Rotary Club will be donating an ambulance and equipment to a country in South America. Does anyone know if this is 58-B-1 (I don't think so- as far as I know, that is being kept as 58-B-2) or where the ambulance came from?

I was wondering something. Often, in the fire and EMS service, we're often very critical of neighboring departments and other agencies, especially after a significant incident. We often form opinions, do the shoulda/woulda/coulda routine, and spark rumors. If a photo or video was take, we often use that as a judgment tool. However, when it's our turn to have the incident, we often get very defensive when people talk critical of us. For example, if a person was caught in a photo obviously performing a tatic wrong, putting themselves at risk, etc...we often don't blame the person in the photo or the officers at that scene, we get defensive, don't learn or accept the mistake, and for instance, blame the photographer or whoever else we can, as long as it's not us- we'e perfect after all. My point is, we can give it, but we can't take it. To improve in the fire and EMS service, we must be accepting of our mistakes, and look at other agencies and people for advice, opinions, and most of all- constructive criticism. Our peers can be one of the best tools for learning- if we'd only listen. To be a better firefighter- and person....own up to your mistakes, and learn from them. And make sure others learn too.....

Here's a paparazzi shot I got of the business end of White Plains MA-32 yesterday. This unit is used primarily for operations in the many parking structures and other limited access areas of the city. [attachmentid=1765] I wish I could have gotten that Maxim too, it was all nice and shiny, but I screwed up the shott and then as I walked over they took it over to the Station on Robertson. Oh well, maybe one day I can get over to Station 2 and shoot all the fun stuff they have over there.

GREAT topic! I think a Class A Uniform for EMS is a great and long overdue idea. I couldn't agree with your post more...EMS stands shoulder to shoulder with PD and Fire, so why shouldn't they look as profesisonal as they do? Empress EMS had put together a Class A Uniform for a wake and funeral honor guard a couple of years back when one of their own tragically died. x901 helped to put that together, and also had done a lot of research into EMS Class A Uniforms, so maybe he will be able to tell you more. Also, I know Boston EMS has a Class A Uniform.

WOW, that's great news- If it was to be restored, that would be awesome! It's a classic now, and will be more so in the future! Now, as far as the Roto-Rays go, County Police's Bomb squad, a E-One Cyclone II, has a Roto-Ray. Very popular in Maryland, but more of a novelty in my opinion, and the money spent on this can be better spent elsewhere. My other personality thinks that since this is a unique warning device, that it would catch the publics attention more so than another lighting package. The HME/Smeals will come through North Haven, CT near Izzy's house (and I hope he will give me a heads up too) prior to final delivery, as that's the Smeal dealer for the Westchester area. Campbell Supply is the ALF dealer for Yonkers, and the Rescue will come through their facility in NJ prior to final delivery, like the new engines will. Based on what I've seen and heard, these deliveries will be spectacular.
