  1. That's an AWESOME idea! Kudos to KFD!! I remember that this was a topic on this forum WAY back in 2004.......... http://www.emtbravo.net/index.php?showtopic=698
  2. It's worh noting that Yonkers PD has a command post as well. I believe it's a late 90's International/LDV. Having gone over this vehicle thoroughly, I can tell you it will definetly be an asset to the department and the City Of Yonkers, and abd also support their unparelled USAR resources which are available basically anywhere needed. They've had numerous times I can think of in the past where This vehicle is key to having a coordinated, organized response to fire and rescue incidents, just as the PD command post is used at large events and large crime incidents. This gives the IC's all the tools they need, and these types of vehicles have proven their usefulness at many incidents nationwide.
  3. Rob has put a lot of hard work into making this an awesome event for EMTBravo members, and I hope many will reciprocate by stopping by and meeting some of your fellow board members and staff. It WILL be a great time! Unfortunetly, I can't make, because, as many of you know, I now live in Austin, TX. But if I could afford the flight and time off, I would be there! -Seth

  6. This is one of the BEST innovations I have seen in ambulance design in my life! (Photo by Eastford Fire And Rescue Sales) I hope this becomes the new standard!! 8. This was the top story in my local paper the other day. I find it impressive that the newspaper places priority on stories like this (all over the local media, too), and even more impressive that the PD's are being really agressive with enforcement.....most traffic stops I see have an additional officer/car on scene watching for violators and to provide additional scene protection...... 9. I don't know if there's another thread, and I forget if there is, but I just wanted to congratulate Jack (jack10562), our forum administrator, on his new house and move to Cape Cod! I am envious of your new lifestyle, and hope you and Joyce have many happy years there!

  11. I know we've discussed this model on here before, but recently I had another oppurtunity to check out the Pierce Velocity Top Mount PUC- with my camera, and I was impressed! I love how the pump panel isn't your traditonal "top mount", but keeps the operator out of the way of traffic and has a 360 degree view of the incident. Also, the pump is easy to get to and maintain, there's a ton of storage room, and it has a short wheelbase. With the luxuries of the Velocity cab, this really is one SWEET engine! I will post a few photos so you can see for yourself. I didn't get compartment shots, but they are cavernous and also include compartments on the top of that apparatus. Here's the 2008 Pierce Velocity Top Mount PUC:
